The Khojaly Massacre was committed by Armenian troops. That's a fact, and it has not been denied by any official party in the conflict. The question of responsibility in the Armenian chain of command is a completely different question which is completely irrelevant, since everyone agrees the massacre itself as having been committed by rogue Armenian troops fighting in the Karabakh war. 92slim ( talk) 15:58, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
- Merge a limited amount of content into Khojaly Massacre's "Recognition" and/or "Commemoration" sections, as I don't really see a plausible stand-alone article here. The question, of course, will be how much information ought to be merged. I think it's best to omit the exhaustive detail on U.S. states and to condense portions on each country, so that the main article will not be dominated by the recognition section. - Delete Having recognitions for every massacre, crime, or murder does not make sense to me, especially when the Armenian government or related parties don't formally deny this event. - Delete, moving any statements of significance to the Khojaly Massacre article if they are not already there. The article is basically an ORish editorialised list - its sourcing is almost all primary documents, without any secondary sources to interpretate their significance, say by commenting on why and under what circumstances entities such as the House of Representatives of the State of Tennessee would bring itself to issue such a statement - and about what, if any, the significance of doing it was. There is no interpretation content at all within the list (and the few non-primary sources presented - such as [1] concerning the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Czech Parliament "recognition" - are not being used to provide that necessary interpretation. What even is that Commonwealth of Massachusetts House of Representatives "citation", with its preprinted "sincerest acknowledgement" stock text and blank space pre-provided to detail what is being acknowledged (and note the apparently non-English wording, omitting the word "the" before the words "Khojaly Massacre") Tiptoethrutheminefield ( talk) 23:09, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
