Fails WP:NPOL. Ran for parliament (finished outside of the top five candidates) and state legislature in 2019 and did not win either election and is not notable independent of his 2019 campaigns. GPL93 ( talk) 18:10, 11 April 2020 (UTC) reply

  • Delete. People do not get Wikipedia articles just for running as candidates in elections they did not win, but this features neither a credible claim that he had preexisting notability for other reasons that would have gotten him into Wikipedia independently of the candidacy, nor sufficient sourcing to demonstrate a credible reason why his candidacy could be deemed a special case of significantly greater notability than other people's candidacies. • Keep. As per news report, candidate doesn't comes under top 5 candidates in Parliament election. but, In the Jarmundi constituency election He was in top 5 candidates list. See the proof @ Times of India wesite. -- Raaj Tilak ( talk) 05:58, 12 April 2020 (UTC) reply
Finishing in the top 5 is not part of our notability standards for politicians. He has to win the election, not just run in it, to derive notability from an election — if he didn't win, the only other way he gets an article is if you can show that he was already notable enough for an article for other reasons before he even ran at all.
