Merge to
Galway Bay. The tragedy has some mentions in modern sources, but not many or much detail; and the article on Galway Bay is itself quite short. --

Merge to
Galway Bay... notable event but it was a one-off and does not seem to have had any lasting impact (eg, no arrests were made in the case, not an international incident, no laws were put into effect as a result).

Keep. The article needs work, but the subject appears to be notable.

Delete. In the past 400 years, thousands of sailors and fishermen have died off the coast in
Galway Bay. We can't have a
memorial article for every boat that went down. There would be hundreds of such stubs. Drowning was a predictable and
all too common risk. Sorry for their loss, but what about Mrs. MacNamara's sons?

Did anybody suggest creating a bunch of "memorial articles"? The subject appears to be notable, so it's just another article about a notable event. What's so scary about having more articles like that?
