Chakkrawat Road (  | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – ( View log · Stats)

The road does not appear to have significant coverage to satisfy WP:GEOROAD. Sources given are from forum posts (therefore unreliable), and I cannot find other sources apart from trivial or passing mentions in websites and books. It is hard to tell if there are reliable sources in Thai (they also appear to be largely trivial and passing mentions), and thus far no other sources added despite being requested. • Comment: Apologies to User:Hzh as I meant to respond earlier to their request that the reference I mentioned be added to the article, but forgot. It's a three-paragraph entry (slightly over a page long) in a 400-page gazetteer. -- Paul_012 ( talk) 17:02, 17 July 2018 (UTC) reply
  • Keep. It appears to be a historic commercial road, created (per the article) in 1893 as a carriage road to get the King perhaps and others through the shopping district area. I dunno if it is significant like 42nd Street in New York City but it may be. (Also per the article) it is named for Thai temple "Wat Chakkrawat" or "Wat Sam Pluem", a temple located on the road which my guess would be individually notable and could/would get an article if the road article were deleted. I am not attempting to search myself, but coverage for the temple in English and Thai by those with expertise in relevant languages should be considered.

Let the article cover the road and its history and the temple too. -- Doncram ( talk) 18:38, 18 July 2018 (UTC) reply

ISBN  974958838X. is a reliable book source. -- Paul_012 ( talk) 03:01, 28 July 2018 (UTC) reply
  • Comment: Subject is also mentioned along with other streets in Wīrasinchai, Sansanī (2008). Chư̄ bān nām mư̄ang nai Krung Thēp (Phim khrang thī 7. ed.). Krung Thēp Mahā Nakhō̜n: Matichon. ISBN  9789740202585. and this paper ("The Building of Streets in Bangkok and the Economic Advantages of the Siamese Leading Class"), but nothing I'd call in-depth. -- Paul_012 ( talk) 03:01, 28 July 2018 (UTC) reply
  • Delete - While Paul 012's single source is reliable, it is a single reliable source. The other coverage is trivial. It's a shame editors with more knowledge of that region and language have not participated in the discussion, they might have access to other sources. But the fact there might be sources is not a valid reason to keep. Redirecting to the district would be another option. Onel5969 TT me 12:17, 3 August 2018 (UTC) reply
