- Comment streets in pre-20th century developments of major (compact) cities are generally covered by sources adressing them. I've just cited a very brief one (because it is a very old source, and thus freely available, but close to the creation of the street, but there are surely "streets of Barcelona"-like (or "streets of Eixample"-like) works which are more recent and deal with the street in a more extensive fashion).--Asqueladd (
