Lack of reliable sources, especially problematic as it is medical content relevant to
WP:MEDRS and linking chiefly to third-party advertising sources. I'm new to page patrolling, so if this looks like a Speedy Deletion contender, please let me know as it will be helpful for me when going forward. Thanks.

Weak keep but re-write. The references given refer to "fear of cancer", but that Cancer Phobia is a fear of cancer is not made clear in the opening of the article.

redirect to another article on phobias. Not written in any keepable way, doesn't merit it's own article.

WP:TNT? Reading around, what real sources say about fear of cancer concerns dealing with the not irrational fears and with other irrational ideas, but they don't appear to be talking about a genuine
specific phobia. Besides, as is typical of those articles here, three-quarters of what we have now is boilerplate language about specific phobias in general, only there's more of that than usual. In general I'm for deletion of articles on particular specific phobias, but in this case it seems to be that there's a real article to be written on the real issues.

Redirect to
phobia. The refs are insufficient per
WP:MEDRS. Do to the poor quality of the refs regardless of what we do it needs a significant re write.

comment it may be best as the references are sparse, to delete this article but place at List of phobias as carcinophopia (some terms of that list (Hypnophobia, somniphobia) are listed w/out a linked article)...IMO--

Weak keep and strong move to
Fear of cancer, with the goal of a complete re-write. I agree with
Vorbee and I have sympathy for
Mangoe's suggestion of using the TNT. The fear of cancer is a notable subject about which a very good article could be written, even if it's not a scientifically proven, conventionally accepted
specific phobia and thus has a slightly misleading name at the moment. (Also, I suspect that much of the boilerplate information is wrong, as hypochondriacal requests for testing feel like they would be less likely, and obsessing about diet, exercise, radiation, and "chemicals" would be more likely, if someone were deeply afraid of cancer.) An article on the fear of cancer subject would connect well with the article on
cancer survivorship, as there are multiple recent reviews (e.g.,
PMID23475398,
PMID27857253,
PMID26346127) on the sub-topic of fear of cancer recurrence. There are some other points of interest. For example,
PMID28833054 says that people who follow cancer screening recommendations have a low level of fear (but this says nothing about people who refuse screening out of fear), and
PMID26756737 says that false-positive screening results increase anxiety about cancer.

Keep. rewrite is needed, but I think the term is widely used and is a suitable title. DGG (

Redirect to
phobia. Although this topic is notable, we cannot keep it in its current state. Thus, until it is rewritten properly, it should be redirected to phobia.

I believe it should be moved to Carcinophobia with a rewrite, or deleted, because the current name is not encyclopedic. — Preceding
