Appears to be WP:OR, the refs discuss biodegradable polymers in a general sense but aren't directly related to the topic. The breakdown of EVA is show as taking place at 350-450°C, hardly biological temperatures. The 'Biodegradable materials' section doesn't give any evidence that the materials mentioned are actually used in shoe-making. It is well written but it is a synthesis.
