PROD was declined despite the fact the issues I brought up were obvious and apparent.
Wikipedia is not a newspaper and the lack of
long-term societal impact makes this ever so more apparent. There was no
post-analysis; the "background" is actually fabricated by news reports written before this incident with no connection whatsoever. Remember, we treat news reports as
primary sources.

In the event of a merge, are we also keeping the 2010 sources and the article title as a redirect?

Merge to
Persecution_of_Ahmadis#Pakistan or
Ahmadiyya in Pakistan - per Patar Knight. I'm convinced by a BEFORE this should not be standalone (at least the night of the attacks), and I'm not certain that the arson attacks are more significant than the subsequent blasphemy charges.
