History & Layout

Opening on November 27th 1992, Bennetts Lane Jazz Club has operated nightly ever since providing live Jazz performances.

The original venue, located at 25 Bennetts Lane, Melbourne, caters to approximately 80 patrons, while the 'Jazz Lab', located at Basement 141-143 La Trobe Street, Melbourne, opened in January 2000 to provide a larger performance space. The Jazz Lab caters to 200 patrons.

Both venues feature in house sound & lighting production as well as a Kawai baby grand piano and a Premier drum kit.

Bennetts Lane is unique on the Australian jazz scene as it is the only dedicated jazz performance venue open 7 nights a week.

Masterpiece is a board game where you hold auctions on paintings which have a value randomly assigned to them. The idea of the game is to guess correctly how much money that painting is worth and bet on it until you don't feel safe going further and someone gets the painting. It could be worth one million dollars or it could be a fake painting and be worth nothing. It could also be worth something in between. The game ends when all paintings belong to players. The player with the most money and paintings value combined wins the game. The game is made by Parker Brothers.

Intro

Born in the fires of Mount Doom, Lizanne rose to prominent infamy after taking a leap of faith out of a moving taxi, subsequently putting the lives of those around her (including an innocent taxi driver) in danger. What was more remarkable is that she wasn't sectioned for this...

The Madness Continues

Although a consistent liar, Lizanne has pulled the veil over the eyes of us all. Prior to the taxi incident, Lizanne was able to trick some of us (including her boyfriend Raymond..who really needs a backbone btw) into thinking that she had recieved some sort of miraculous cure of her madness, 12 hours after the incident...whats amusing and a little sad is that he believed it all, failing to realise that it takes 36 hours for a diagnosis and a further 6 months to recieve medication. Apparently Lizanne's doctors don't know this as she is is currently using "Anti-Depressants"

Today

With all hope steming on Danny getting another girlfriend and losing this mental case, a light was found when he subsequently dumped her Gollum ass and started to see other people. Realising that "things would never change" and that she would always be paranoid on his wherabouts, Danny proceeded to enjoy life for once. Unfortunately, the dreaded lizanne had other ideas, and using her evil witchcraft ( or the one ring, we'll never be sure) she has managed to pull the wool over his eyes yet again, and now the relationship that the world hates is back on! the inhumanity of it all. Not only is she evil, she looks like his bloody sister..sickening stuff indeed. the only thing scarier is the Paul and Sammy freakshow thats going on, they also look like brother and sister..fake tan and all.

People may wonder why i have written this, i call it advice. Avoid this girl. she is the personfication of evil, she is clever, she is wise, and she coniving and vindictive. Her associates: Sammy and that "lot" are even worse when they are fighting her corner. I say this stuff so that you Danny, will one day come across this and realise what a mistake you're making. I know you're scared to let go, but this isn't love, things won't change and she will rule (and ruin) your life. She can't be trusted...and she has a face like a melted boot to.

Jon Mills (born 6 March 1978), is a Canadian golfer born in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. He has earned his PGA Tour Card for the 2008 season by finishing 4th on the Nationwide Tour money list, with $366,244 over 27 events. The 2008 PGA Tour season will be Jon's second time around on the Tour, he played in 2006 but did not have a strong season and therefore did not retain his card.

He has two career Nationwide Tour victories, the 2005 Canadian PGA Championship, and the 2007 Albertsons Boise Open.

He won the Order of Merit title in 2003 for the Canadian Tour, a developmental affiliate of the PGA Tour.

Charles Berger is a retired Canadian professional wrestler, known by his ring name Pierre or Gilles "The Fish" Poisson, who competed in North American regional promotions including the American Wrestling Association, International Wrestling, Grand Prix Wrestling, Maple Leaf Wrestling, Pacific Northwest Wrestling and Stampede Wrestling during the 1970s and 80s.

With manager "Classie" Freddie Blassie, he also had a brief stint as Louis Cyr in the World Wide Wrestling Federation. ^[1] During his time in the WWWF, he feuded with Dominic DeNucci, "Irish" Pat Barrett and WWWF World Tag Team Champions Tony Parisi & Louis Cerdan throughout 1976. ^[2]

Early career

Making his professional debut in 1970, Berger wrestled in the Quebec and the Maritimes during his early career and also made an appearance in Stampede Wrestling as Alex the Butcher loosing to Billy Robinson at the Exhibition Auditorium in Regina, Saskatchewan on January 15, 1970. ^[3]

A mainstay of Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling, he held the Grand Prix Tag Team Championship with Killer Kowalski before eventually loosing the titles to Dino Bravo & Gino Brito in Verdun, Quebec on November 20, 1972. ^[4]

One of the top " heels" in the Montreal-area during the 1970s, an estimated 29,000 were in attendance when he and Andre the Giant fought to a no contest at the 1973 Grand Prix Wrestling Stadium Show at Jarry Park in July 1973. ^[5]

Returning to Stampede Wrestling during the mid-1970s, he defeated John Quinn in a 2-of-3 falls match in Calgary, Alberta on January 9 to win a title shot against Stampede North American Heavyweight Champion Frankie Laine. He would also defeat Quinn in a rematch the following night in Edmonton, Alberta.

On January 16, he would defeat Frankie Laine in a 2-3 falls match for the Stampede North American Heavyweight Championship in Calgary. Although loosing to Laine by disqualification twice during the next week, he would hold the title for eight days before finally loosing back to Laine in Edmonton on January 24. ^[3]

World Wide Wrestling Federation

Later that month, Berger would appear in the World Wide Wrestling Federation as Louis Cyr defeating Mike Paidousis at the Zembo Mosque in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on January 30, 1976. The following month, defeating Francisco Flores at Madison Square Garden on February 2, he also scored victories over Kevin Sullivan and Francisco Flores before fighting to a time limit draw against Dominic DeNucci in Hamburg, Pennsylvania on February 18.

On February 25, he and Crusher Blackwell lost a 2-of-3 falls match to Dominic DeNucci & Andre the Giant at the Westchester Civic Center in White Plains, New York. He would also team with Crusher Blackwell and Baron Mikel Scicluna in a 6-man tag team match loosing to Bobo Brazil, Tony Parisi & Louis Cerdan in a 3-of-5 falls match on February 27. Briefly feuding with "Irish" Pat Barrett, he would later face Pat McGuinness, Dominic DeNucci and Louis Cerdan whom he later fought to a double disqualification at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey on March 8. Three days later, he would team with Tony Altimore against the WWWF World Tag Team Champions Tony Parisi & Louis Cerdan loosing to them at the Sunnyside Gardens in Queens, New York.

While in Bangor, Maine on March 17, Berger would defeat Pat McGuinness as well as Man Mountain Mike later that night, defeating the heavyweight by countout. Making another attempt to capture the WWWF World Tag Team Championship with Jerry Blackwell, the two would loose to Tony Parisi & Louis Cerdan in Landover, Maryland on March 22. Fighting to a time limit draw against Pat Barrett on March 26, he would loose to Bobo Brazil several days later at Madison Square Garden. Continuing to feud with Dominic DeNucci, he would also face Louis Cerdan, Ivan Putski and Bobo Brazil during the next several weeks.

He would also take on the WWWF World Tag Team Champions Tony Parisi & Louis Cerdan with Baron Mikel Scicluna, although he and Scicluna would loose to them in Florence, New Jersey on May 5. He would also participate in a 20-man battle royal at the Boston Garden on May 8. Eliminated by Bobo Brazil, the battle royal also included Stan Hansen, Jose Gonzalez, Haystacks Calhoun, Ernie Ladd, Superstar Billy Graham, Gorilla Monsoon, Skandor Akbar, Man Mountain Mike, Bobo Brazil, Ivan Putski, Kevin Sullivan, Jerry Blackwell, Baron Mikel Scicluna, The Executioners and WWWF Tag Team Champions Louis Cerdan & Tony Parisi. Berger would eventually be eliminated by Bobo Brazil.

Before leaving the promotion at the end of the month, he would substitute for Louis Cerdan in one of his last appearances aiding his long time rival Tony Parisi in defending the WWWF World Tag Team titles against The Executioners in Landover, Maryland on May 24. ^[2]

American Wrestling Association

Several months later, Poisson jumped to the American Wrestling Association defeating Buck "Rock n' Roll" Zumhofe in Davenport, Iowa on September 6. Disqualified during a match against Billy Francis in Green Bay, Wisconsin on September 26, he regularly appearred at the Winnipeg Arena defeating Billy Red Cloud and the Iron Shiek before loosing to Jim Brunzell on November 18. Feuding with Jim Brunzell & Greg Gagne during the next several months, he and Moose Moroski would loose to Brunzell & Greg Gangne on December 9, 1976.

The following year, he would loose to Billy Francis, Greg Gagne & Jim Brunzell in a 6-man tag team match with Mad Dog Vachon and Baron von Raschke on February 24. ^[3] He would also loose to Greg Gagne & Jim Brunzell in a tag team match with Moose Morowski on March 2, 1977. He and Morowski would later participate in the $10,000 battle royal later that night.

Later career

Returning to the Montreal-area, he and Serge Dumont would later loose to Pat Patterson & Raymond Rougeau in a tournament final for the NWA International Tag Team Championship in Montreal on June 2, 1980. He would also team with Mad Dog Lefebvre and Le Bourreau during the early 1980s ^[6] and, in 1982, defeated Gino Brito & Rick McGraw for the NWA International Tag Team titles with Sailor White before loosing the titles to Gino Brito & Tony Parisi later that year. Berger would continue wrestling for International Wrestling and remained one of its top stars during the last years of his career. ^[7]

In one of his last matches, he and Man Mountain Moore lost to Mad Dog Vachon & Jos Leduc at the Paul Sauve Centre on Montreal in October 13, 1986. ^[8]

Chappy's premature death is a loss for all of us. His "Watch Steal" video is a classic, created with the other CB, Charles Bach.

Chappy Brazil was born in 1964 and died in 1998. Although young, he was a famous face around Las Vegas, best known for performing at Ceasar's Palace and on the strip itself. He had become well known in the local magic community and made such an impression that magician Lance Burton performed the Broken Wand Ceremony at Chappy's funeral.

A stirring two-hour service was held at Caesars Palace that used music, magic and video montage to eulogize Brazil, 33, who died in an accident involving a Las Vegas police vehicle.

Chappy was riding his motorcycle on Industrial Drive around 12:43 a.m., Saturday 29th of June, when he was hit by a black-and-white squad car driven by Las Vegas police officer Edward Jones.

The service ended with Bach taking the watch off his wrist and smashing it with a rubber mallet.

Bach said later that the watch had special meaning to him, because on the night of Brazil's death, he had finished a videotape that he and Brazil put together, instructing magicians on how to steal watches. Chappy was on his way to Bach's house to look at the video, Bach said, when he died.

Lorena Brazil, Chappy Brazil’s wife, filed a lawsuit against the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Edward Jones and the Nevada Power Co. on Monday July 19 1999 for violations of Brazil's civil rights which caused his death on Jun. 28, 1998 in the head-on collision with a speeding police car.

Eye witnesses, among them Caesars Magical Empire stagehands who had just gotten off work, contradicted the officer's statement that he was using his lights and siren at the time of the collision, which occurred on the wrong side of the road, and had no skidmarks at the scene. The officer admitted exceeding the speed limit. Independent accident investigators believe that Officer Jones was traveling at a speed near 90 MPH when he crossed the center line and struck Chappy Brazil's motorcycle head on.

While the Las Vegas Metro Police Department initially won the lawsuit, when it was appealed the Fiscal Oversight Board awarded Lorena Brazil the sum of $100,000. Officer Jones plead guilty to two misdemeanor charges, careless driving and failure to maintain travel lane, and was fined $2000.

Chalica is the winter holiday celebration of Unitarian Universalists, a denomination of Unitarians that no longer identify as Christian and are primarily located in the United States. It lasts for seven days, from the first Monday in December to the following Sunday. It was created as a reflection on the Seven Principles of Unitarianism. Each day of the holiday represents a different Unitarian Principle, and gifts relating to that principle are given and received and community service is strongly encouraged. Additionally, on each day a chalice is lit, one may have seven different chalices, one for each day, or one single chalice that is re-lit each evening.

The Seven Principles of Unitarianism, and therefore the themes for each day during the week of Chalica are, respectively, 1. Belief in the inherent worth and dignity of every individual, 2. Justice, equity and compassion in human relations, 3. Acceptance of one another and encouragement of spiritual growth in our congregations, 4. A free and responsible search for truth and meaning, 5. The use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large, 6. Pursuit of a world community where peace, liberty, and justice are available to all, and 7. Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

Chalica itself is a relatively new holiday and emphasizes community events and mutual support, strongly reflecting the spirit of Unitarian Universalism itself. Activities center around self reflection, social justice, environmental awareness, extending forgiveness and understanding to others, and a sense of spirituality associated with use of the chalice.

A renowned jurist, a law practitioner, a constitutional expert Syed Masood Kausar was born in the district Kohat of the NWFP. After completing a Bachelor's Degree from Islamia College Peshawar, he opted for education in law and got his LLB degree from the Peshawar University. He was called to the Bar in the year 1968 from the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn, England.

Syed Masood Kausar took keen interest in the extra-curricular activities and was very popular among students and his colleagues. He has a rare distinction to his credit for having been elected as President of the Khyber Union of Islamia College Peshawar. He was the first elected General Secretary of the Peshawar University Students Union. During his stay in England, Syed Masood Kausar was again elected as the General Secretary of the Pakistan Students' Federation Great Britain.

Syed Masood Kausar has also a very outstanding career in the law profession. He has appeared before the High Courts and the Supreme Court of Pakistan in different important cases of eminence. He was elected President of the Peshawar High Court Bar Association in 1984 and has also been an honorary visiting Professor of law at the University Law College Peshawar.

Syed Masood Kausar has been a very active member of the Pakistan Peoples Party and presenlty is the member of its Central Executive Committee, the highest policy making body of the PPP. He served as Provincial present of PPP in the NWFP. He has also been very active in sustaining struggle against the Military Rule in Pakistan and was imprisoned several times during the movement for the restoration of democracy.

Barrister Masood Kausar was elected as a member of the Provincial Assemlby of the NWFP in 1988 and again in 1990. He was the Speaker of the NWFP Assembly from 1988 to 1990 and was Deputy Leader of the Opposition of the same Assembly from 1990 to 1993.

Syed Masood Kausar has been to the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Egypt and a number of other countries of the world on academic and official missions and also as a member and leader of the Parliamentary delegations.

Barrister Masood Kausar Was elected to the Senate of Pakistan in March, 1994 for a six year term.

F'ryan Coblebay is a fiction character in Kristen Britain's Green Rider series. Although he dies in the first few pages of the first book, he is still a major character in the series. He is atleast mentioned in all three books so far. It is his death that begins Karigan's journey in Green Rider. He was a green rider himself and a favorite of Captain Mapstone. He had a lover, a noble lady named Estoria. The other rider's help him keep their relationship a secret. It is known that F'ryan often wrote important messages in code. His messanger horse's name is Conder, he becomes Karigan's horse after F'ryan's death.

He was killed by an Elitian named Shawdell, pierced by two black arrows. These arrows keep his soul held prisoner by the Elitian, but he is strong spirited and resists the bonds. He accompanies Karigan on her journey and even inhabits her body at one point to protect her from an ec-Weapon who is trying to kill her.

F'ryan was a swordmaster initiate, making him eligible to join the Weapon's if The Call let him go before he died.

From the books one can believe that F'ryan was a kind soul, one full of life and always up for a little fun. He would have been the life of the party, but also the person to go to if you ever had a problem that needed talking out.
