  • Was intending to oppose due to past interactions, but giving weak support having read answers. Mature approach to BLP.-- Scott Mac (Doc) 10:45, 2 December 2009 (UTC) reply
  • Neutral. Good answers to questions, and candidate appears to be aware of ArbCom issues. However, my review of contributions showed mainly clerical edits, and very little evidence of conflict resolution or of making decisions. SilkTork * YES! 00:11, 3 December 2009 (UTC) reply
  • Supported based on strong answers to questions that I can relate to. I feel that, despite the weak evidence of conflict resolution, the answers to questions give me the indication that this candidate will do well. -- Mpdelbuono ( talk) 01:29, 3 December 2009 (UTC) reply
  • Very strong support - have always been impressed with him since very close to my start on Wikipedia in 2006, exhibits maturity and a level head at all times, and I believe he is one of the three strongest contenders in this race in terms of what he can offer. Orderinchaos 04:38, 3 December 2009 (UTC) reply
  • This candidate has always impressed me for a calm, no-nonsense approach to rules and policies, and a strong adherence to consensus decision making. One of my top choices. Sjakkalle (Check!) 11:36, 3 December 2009 (UTC) reply
  • Mailer also has my strong and enthusiastic support. Like Orderinchaos and Sjakkalle above, I have been impressed with Mailer diablo's thoughtfulness, levelheadedness and commitment to the project (have had the pleasure of working with him since 2005). He is singularly my top choice in this election -- Samir 04:42, 4 December 2009 (UTC) reply
  • Oppose. If he can't find a case that has not been handled well, he's not looking hard enough. I get the gut feeling (without, I hasten to add, any concrete diffs in mind) that his way of de-escalating drama will be to loudly and repeatedly deny that the drama is justified (perhaps with vague allusions to WP:RBI, perhaps not; perhaps with snarky allusions to encyclopedias and the editing thereof, perhaps not)- we've seen how well that's worked in 2009. Badger Drink ( talk) 21:28, 4 December 2009 (UTC) reply
  • While I agree with Badger Drink's statement above, I first ran into Mailer Diablo several years ago on some quite conflicted nationalist issues, which are the kinds of cases that go to Arbcom year after year. He had a level head and showed that he read what was going on. For this reason I am giving him my strong support. SchmuckyTheCat ( talk)
