AGU Earth Science Week Wikipedia Edit-a-thon
As part of AGI's Earth Science Week (13-19 October 2019), the Sharing Science Program of the
American Geophysical Union is hosting a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon. The theme of Earth Science Week is "Geoscience is for Everyone."
Our main goals are to:
Wikipedia is an openly editable resource, meaning that you can improve the quality and accuracy of Wikipedia entries. As one of the web’s most visited reference sites, Wikipedia serves as a starting point for many individuals looking to learn about art, history, and science.
During this training, attendees of all experience levels will learn the basics of how to edit Wikipedia by updating articles and creating articles for researchers in earth and space sciences.
