Walter Charles Williams (born September 8, 1977) is a former American football running back who played two seasons with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Grambling State University and attended Brusly High School in Brusly, Louisiana. Williams was also a member of the New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, Oakland Raiders and played for the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe. He was a member of the New England Patriots team that won Super Bowl XXXVI against the St. Louis Rams.
Williams was signed by the New England Patriots on April 27, 2001. He was placed on injured reserve on September 2, 2001. [1] Williams was released by the Patriots on August 14, 2002. He told the team he was considering retirement. [2]
Williams was signed by the New Orleans Saints and later released on August 25, 2003. [3]
Williams was signed by the Green Bay Packers on January 19, 2004. [4]
Williams was allocated to NFL Europe by the Green bay Packers in 2004, where he played for the Rhein Fire. [5]
