Vrsi is a settlement and municipality in Croatia in the Zadar County.
In the 2011 census, there were a total of 2,053 inhabitants, in the following settlements: [3]
The name translates as "above", "on the top".
The village of Vrsi was first mentioned in written documents in 1387. [4]
Since 2006, Vrsi is classified as municipality.
Directly elected minority councils and representatives are tasked with consulting tasks for the local or regional authorities in which they are advocating for minority rights and interests, integration into public life and participation in the management of local affairs. [5] At the 2023 Croatian national minorities councils and representatives elections Serbs of Croatia fulfilled legal requirements to elect 10 members minority councils of the Municipality of Vrsi but the elections were not held due to the absence of candidatures. [6]
