Vasiliki Karagiorgos [2] ( Greek: Βασιλική Καραγιώργος, Vasilikí Karagiórgos; born 18 February 1983), known as Vassy (frequently stylised as VASSY[ citation needed]), is an Australian singer, songwriter, record producer and actress of Greek descent. She is the first woman to win an ICON Award at the 2023 Electronic Dance Music Awards.
Vassy was born in Darwin, Northern Territory to Greek immigrant parents. [3] Her parents hail from Kozani and Grevena. [4]
Her song was featured in the Tina Fey film Admission, Disney's Oscar-winning film Frozen, and in the campaign Gok Loves for Target Australia. [5] Vassy's songs have also been featured in EA Games, Nickelodeon, Skechers, Victoria's Secret, Pepsi commercials, and Oscar winning films such as Disney’s Frozen and hit TV shows such as ABC’s Grey's Anatomy.
