Vahid Abasov ( Serbian Cyrillic: Вахид Абасов, Russian: Вахид Вагиф оглы Аббасов; born 6 June 1997) is a Russian-born Serbian boxer. [1] [2] [3] He participated at the 2022 European Amateur Boxing Championships, [4] being awarded the gold medal in the welterweight event. [5] Abasov and Artem Ageev were the only people to win medals which were gold medals for their country. [5] He was the second person of his country to win the medal. [6]
