I live is Missouri now, but I grew up in California and I miss the mountains. You'd be surprised how much a person can miss seeing mountains once they no longer live by them. Props on the picture. On this edit you made the edit summary remove some photos - ran past table - alphabetize remaining. Thank you for attempting to tidy up the article. Keep in mind that size of thumb nailed photos is configurable per user, as is the size of the font, line spacing, etc. and may depend on the skin a user chooses. Also, the screen width and resolution varies dramatically from one person's display to another, from mobile phones to 4000 pixel wide displays, so it is very difficult to conclude that the photos ran past the table in general. I see you probably figured this out already [1] and corrected yourself, but I'll throw in a little additional explanation. Indeed, we don't use "Fahrenheits" or "Celsiuses"; that's because they are adjectives. We do pluralize the nouns they modify: degrees, as in "degrees Fahrenheit" and "degrees Celsius".

Similarly, before the old "degrees Kelvin" were thrown out 40 years ago, the word Kelvin in those units was an adjective, capitalized and unchanged in the plural, with the "s" added to "degree" just as it still is in degrees Celsius. Now the units are kelvins, where kelvin is now a noun rather than an adjective, lowercase and taking the normal plural form. Gene Nygaard 19:18, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for offering to help with Salt Lake City. The culture section is the section that I'm really worried about, though, and that's not my specialty area. And I'm sure there's something in the county library system that will help. Don't ask me for specific book references, though. I get almost all of my referencing from the Internet, mainly the Deseret News archives (since you have to pay for the Tribune's archives). I'll also be updating the "to-do" list periodically. What areas of the article do you think you could help the most with? Also, if there's any other users you know who could help, try to get them involved as well. All of the main Utah contributors in the past seem to have disappeared...It seems like I've been working on this article since the moment I got onto Wikipedia! I agree, the first wikilink is preferable. Perhaps user:Master_son mistook such a change for mindless redirect replacement often done for links like United States Route 26 or Douglas fir. Use of such links are fine even though they are redirects. Certain such links may help organize creation of new articles where warranted, or provide friendly multi-language handling, such as tyre vs. tire. — EncMstr 22:29, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Due to the holidays and people likely to be spending less time on Wikipedia, the new Collaboration of the Week will run for two weeks (OK actually I’ll be out of the country, but same difference). The first item will be a general Reference Improvement Drive. So find an article, source an tagged sentence or bring all the citations up to WP:CITE standards. The other item is a Tagging Drive, looking for those random articles about Oregon that do not yet have a {{ WikiProject Oregon}} tag on the talk page. Happy New Year to all the Oregon WikiProject People. A big round of applause for everyone last year, we got a lot done. A thank you to everyone who helped with the last Collaboration of the Week, I saw a large number of articles in the unassessed section and our total number of articles is over 5000 (we were around 4000 in June when the assessment program finished the initial run) so I know at one person was busy tagging. This week we are back to a High importance Stub article the one and only max security prison, first prison, and only one with a death row in the state, the Oregon State Penitentiary. I noticed your addition to the portal. On my 768x1024 monitor I still get 2 columns of text which don't wrap properly on the image. Everything looks fine on the wide screen monitor on my other PC. Royalbroil 02:29, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

I changed my resolution to 768x1024 and I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Maybe I'm not understanding the problem - around which image is the text not wrapping properly? Howdy to WikiProject Oregon members, time for another edition of the Collaboration of the Week. As you may have already noticed, our flagship article Oregon is up for the third time as we make a push to get WP:GA status before going for WP:FA. Since this will take some time to get where it needs to be, this will be the COTW for more than just a week. On another note, just a general good job/pat on the back to the project for a great 2007, the first full year of the project. We had 83 DYKs about Oregon, improved one article to FA, and went from around 4 GAs to 17 GAs. Plus numerous new articles, improvements to existing, the introduction of the COTW, and the introduction of article assessment at the project. Again, great job and here’s to a new year.
