Hi, just as an FYI, if you believe it is useful, you are welcome to re-create Quadraphenia. Since there would be no reason for war if China thought the new government was legitimate, the second sentence makes no sense, so I switched it back. Hi, Wtwilson. I saw you removed the speedy tag for Neuvoo, with a promise to work on the article with the submitter. The submitter has admitted at least twice ( article talk page, my user talk page) that his or her purposes are promotional, and in spite of several passes at the article, I do not see any credible assertion of notability or any depth of coverage (there is in fact only one reference that comes close to being independent, let alone reliable). Could you at least move the article to Draft or a user page while it is being worked on? The main article space is supposed to be for complete articles that meet Wikipedia standards; I think no one but the author thinks that's what this article is. I edited a page recently and thought that I reference thoroughly and paraphrased when necessary. - No worries. First question, did you read the link that was provided about copyright violations? If so you may also want to read about close paraphrasing. All the material you added relied on close paraphrasing, or direct copying, from the Sykes web site. So that brings up another issue, primary sources. The entire article can't be comprised of information written by the subject of the article. Secondary sources such as books, magazines, newspapers, news web sites, etc. which meet the Wikipedia reliability policy should make up the bulk of the source material for the article. And must be written in the author's own voice. Similar to the standards you might see in an academic research paper. I made those edits to the taxicab article because ridesharing services such as Uber are making taxicabs obsolete, much like Redbox kiosks made Blockbuster Video obsolete. - The writer of an article is responsible for providing reliable sources that are verifiable. Books, magazines, scholarly journals, not YouTube or a user's blog. When you try to make a claim about yourself you are engaging in what we call original research and you are effectively adding autobiographical material to the encyclopedia. Also, you run afoul of the Wikipedia conflict of interest policy. As you can see there are several Wikipedia policies here when are broken by you inserting information that only you say is so. Hi, Wtwilson. I saw you removed the speedy tag for Neuvoo, with a promise to work on the article with the submitter. The submitter has admitted at least twice ( article talk page, my user talk page) that his or her purposes are promotional, and in spite of several passes at the article, I do not see any credible assertion of notability or any depth of coverage (there is in fact only one reference that comes close to being independent, let alone reliable). Could you at least move the article to Draft or a user page while it is being worked on? The main article space is supposed to be for complete articles that meet Wikipedia standards; I think no one but the author thinks that's what this article is. Is there any way I could possibly get some assistance with what was specifically wrong in terms of copyright in my edits?
I edited a page recently and thought that I reference thoroughly and paraphrased when necessary. If there is any way I could get some examples of what was wrong in terms on copyright I would greatly appreciate it. - No worries. First question, did you read the link that was provided about copyright violations? If so you may also want to read about close paraphrasing. All the material you added relied on close paraphrasing, or direct copying, from the Sykes web site. So that brings up another issue, primary sources. The entire article can't be comprised of information written by the subject of the article. Secondary sources such as books, magazines, newspapers, news web sites, etc. which meet the Wikipedia reliability policy should make up the bulk of the source material for the article. And must be written in the author's own voice. Similar to the standards you might see in an academic research paper. I made those edits to the taxicab article because ridesharing services such as Uber are making taxicabs obsolete, much like Redbox kiosks made Blockbuster Video obsolete. - The writer of an article is responsible for providing reliable sources that are verifiable. Books, magazines, scholarly journals, not YouTube or a user's blog. When you try to make a claim about yourself you are engaging in what we call original research and you are effectively adding autobiographical material to the encyclopedia. Also, you run afoul of the Wikipedia conflict of interest policy. As you can see there are several Wikipedia policies here when are broken by you inserting information that only you say is so. Please read those links and then reply here with whatever sources you can show, and I will add the information back to the article myself so you can avoid any conflict of interest. — Bill W. Luckily Bill.W guided me to the write direction and I could finish an article in acceptable quality. Now I'm back for my second article which was deleted with no discussion/communication from another user!
