Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Euryalus ( talk) 10:11, 17 April 2024 (UTC) reply

I don't agree with the block that the update is for advertising or promoting our brand. It is factual changes that were made to update the old and outdated information on the page so that the public is not mislead. The updates reflect changes in the company like an update to our logo that is not present on the page. The information related to numbers and figures about the progress of the company that is outdated on the page. If you are unable to see how edits like this one are highly promotional, then it's clear that you are unable to be neutral about your company. I expect that you would not be permitted to edit your company's article if you were to be unblocked. It's important that accounts represent an individual, so you will need to propose a new username and propose a new topic you wish to contribute towards if you wish to be unblocked. stwalkerster ( talk) 10:50, 17 April 2024 (UTC) reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{ unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Dumbfounded really...so you would rather have inaccurate information on your site? From the edits made, it was updating old information. To be clear, this information was already on the page, not new information added, so I don't understand how that translates to being highly promotional. It is not promotional, it is factual. The Telecommunications industry relies on up to date, accurate and factual numbers. You only have to read some of the comments with people pointing out the information on the page is old or inaccurate. All I did was try and update that information for the public. Please explain how updating our company logo is promotional? On the existing page it explains the history of the company and shows the different logos. Our logo was updated in 2023 and I don't understand why it is wrong to want to update the logo on the page with the correct logo? Proposed new username: Deon.Redpath and proposed topic "Logos"

You can remove the following information if you think it is promotional, however, it is not promotional. It is in the public interest for people to know what a company's value and purpose statements are: (company-authored text removed by Drm310)

Your initial unblock request was declined. If you still want to pursue one, you need to create a new request at the bottom of this page with the {{ unblock-spamun}} template, including your proposed new name. Without this, administrators will never notice your unblock request.

Even if you are unblocked, it is unlikely that you will be allowed to edit this company's article directly. At minimum you would have to make the mandatory disclosure of paid editing, as you have basically said that you work for this company. You would only be allowed to submit edit requests on the article's talk page to be reviewed by uninvolved editors. -- Drm310 🍁 ( talk) 17:18, 17 April 2024 (UTC) reply
