Thank you for your message on my talk page. I too am a Wood County resident; while I lived in Bowling Green for nine years, we have been in the Pemberville area for the past seven years. Sky Bank has been my employer for nine years, but that will end later this year when I will be one of the many let go after the acquisition by Huntington. In my previous position at Sky (99 - 02), I provided computer support for several of the Wood County financial centers including Weston, so we might well have met.

While I understand your disappointment and sense of betrayal at having your local bank closed (imagine how I feel at the prospect of losing my ability to support my family), in order to make Wikipedia the best possible encyclopedia, we must always keep the policy on neutral point of view in mind. Combined with verifiability and no original research, it forms the core of Wikipedia's content policies. Among other things, these policies help protect the integrity of Wikipedia, especially on topics like this where emotions often run high.

Hope you enjoy your time here on Wikipedia, and feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions or issues. -- Kralizec! ( talk) 05:06, 4 July 2007 (UTC) reply

Library and officials in Wood County

If you look at the history of Weston Public Library, you'll see that it was merged to Wood County as the result of a large AFD discussion that saw local libraries being merged to their county articles. I guess that someone saw this and didn't realise that it was a local library, not a county library; I wasn't involved in the discussion, so that's why I restored it to the county article. I'm going to change the redirect target to the village and move the library bit to the village article. Thanks for your note and for correcting me (I live in Logan County and don't know Wood County); and please be ready to put a sourced bit in about the county officials for the county article. 2019 US Banknote Contest

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here
