I've just come across this draft. Reason is that I've researched a photo of ten members of the Auckland Institute and this person is one of them. Clearly notable. You might want to look what I've put on Wikidata ( Arthur Challinor Purchas (Q105100469)) as that's got some good sources. I see you've already written a bio for his father. Thank you for that. When I have time, I certainly aim to properly construct the article on Arthur Challinor Purchas. I have many sources on him, plus what you have just provided, so it really is just a matter of me getting around to it when I find time, like I did for Arthur Guyon Purchas. If you have anything to add to it please feel free, or if you find any additional sources I would love to make use of them. Right now, I will go and properly format the page and do a bit of a tidy up so it can easily be worked on. Cheers, WBPchur 💬✒️💛 01:41, 30 January 2021 (UTC). reply

Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay

Golden Bay Air are holding some seats for us until 21 November

Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.

Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.

Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede 66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC) reply
