Photo tips

I removed your picture of the I-94/I-694 concurrency because it doesn't show the road. When you're taking a picture that you think should go into a road's article, remember that the road is the subject of the article and should be the subject of the picture as well. Your photos that I've seen don't show me what the road is like; only what the signs look like. That being said, I like to include the highway shield in my photos where possible so it's easier to identify the road. ( Example) I freely admit that that picture is not my best work, but you can clearly see the road and the character of the terrain.

Also, and I understand that this may not be possible, but do try to take some pictures from outside the car. It's easy to spot photos that have been taken from a car: the colors are off, there are dashboard reflections; they're usually not good photos.

Anyway, don't be discouraged. I love the Twin Cities, and think it's great that we now have an editor who lives there. If you have any questions, you can ask me (just reply here or start a new post on my talk page) or all of USRD at WT:USRD. – Fredddie 04:28, 3 January 2016 (UTC) reply

Anoka County Road 14

Regarding this, I would strongly urge against starting an article about County 14. I would read the recommendations at WP:USRD/NT. TL;DR: county roads should stay in lists unless they're really, really important. – Fredddie 22:45, 30 January 2016 (UTC) reply

Yeah, I was just thinking about how Minnesota State Highway 242 used to be County Road 14. However, MN-242 does already have its own article, so there's already enough info anyway. It would be very similar. Vcap36 ( talk) 22:49, 30 January 2016 (UTC) reply

I had read the notabillity reccomendations, I just didn't notice the "primary" part about state highways. Vcap36 ( talk) 22:52, 30 January 2016 (UTC) reply

Oh wait, I'm not sure if MN-242 is primary or not. Vcap36 ( talk) 22:58, 30 January 2016 (UTC) reply

All state highways in Minnesota are (or were in MN 242's case) primary. – Fredddie 23:05, 30 January 2016 (UTC) reply

Oh, okay. Vcap36 ( talk) 23:05, 30 January 2016 (UTC) reply
