Rush

You're edit summary your edit to the Rush article is incorrect. Just because their disbanding was not officially confirmed till 2018 (via Alex Lifeson) doesn't mean they were active. Once Neil Peart announced his retirement, R40 was their last tour with no new music going to be released henceforth. In fact Clockwork Angels was their album of new music. Mr. C.C. Hey yo! I didn't do it! 15:29, 6 September 2023 (UTC) reply

I'd note further- as I already have on the article's talk page, and now on my own talk page- that it's misleading to present the 2018 statement by Lifeson as an "official confirmation" that the band had retired- he just said, in the interview, that the band had "no plans to tour or record"- he didn't explicitly rule out further activity, although, following Peart's 2016 cancer diagnosis (not yet public knowledge), he must've known that further activity was impossible. It was also a remark in an interview by one of the band's members, not an official statement by the band as a whole. I'm not sure when the comment in the infobox was added, or who added it, but it's putting a spin on the source that I don't think is justified. Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Slayer, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. What do you mean my edit didn't appear to be "constructive"? I was just adding an accurate fact that Gary Holt had played with Slayer before Jeff Hanneman died. What's "unconstructive" about that? UndergroundMan3000 ( talk) 13:39, 29 September 2023 (UTC) reply

NSYNC dates

Hi, your contribution to NSYNC’s active dates was changed to 1995-2002 (for the initial years). The history section of the article details there was never a public announcement of a breakup. One of the sourced articles from HuffPost goes into it more. Yes, Lance confirmed the group was broken up by 2007 (they had long stopped recording new music at that point and Justin by then had his successful solo career), but it is not considered an official statement from the band itself. It is generally agreed upon that their first active period ended in 2002, because that was the start of their hiatus. Spectrallights ( talk) 20:14, 1 October 2023 (UTC) reply

November 2023 AC/DC edits

I have reverted your recent edits at AC/DC and provided an edit summary: "rv recent change; the addition of Dave Evans to the Lead is an example of Wikipedia:Neutral point of view#Due and undue weight. His status as founding singer is described in the main text see Formation and name. If you want to argue for greater prominence by being in the Lead then go to the article's talk page and make your case."

As indicated, if you wish to make this change to the article's Lead, please provide an explanation at Talk:AC/DC where a consensus can be reached with other interested editors. shaidar cuebiyar ( talk) 18:51, 25 November 2023 (UTC) reply

AC/DC December 2023

Thank you for your recent edits at AC/DC (see diff), however the impact of AC/DC on numerous other bands and individuals has already been established in the article. Consider Wikipedia:Due and undue weight policy and Wikipedia:Avoid data-hoarding essay. If every notable band/individual that has acknowledged AC/DC as an influence were added the article would become unreadable. You could help reduce clutter by removing your recent edits. shaidar cuebiyar ( talk) 21:01, 27 December 2023 (UTC) reply

Humanoid (Accept album) moved to draftspace

As the album has not been released yet, it lacks the coverage necessary to meet the notability standards for albums. As such, I have moved the article to Draft:Humanoid (Accept album), where it may be developed. Since Accept is a pretty well-known band, the album will likely get several reviews from the metal press after it has released, and the draft may be moved back to being an article with those sources added in. Ways to improve Anno Domini 1989–1995

Hello, UndergroundMan3000,

Thank you for creating Anno Domini 1989–1995.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

It does need additional references though, as currently it is relying on a single independent source, and a second source affiliated with the band. Two independent sources should be the minimum.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Insertcleverphrasehere}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.
