David T. Hanson moved to draftspace

Information icon An article you recently created, David T. Hanson, is not suitable as written to remain published. An article needs more information and citations from reliable, independent sources to remain in the mainspace. Information that can't be referenced should be removed ( verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline, has suitable content and thus is ready for mainspace, click the Submit the draft for review! button atop the article. Thanks. WP has changed since I was last active, when one would typically begin with a stub. I'll work on developing it. The advantage of a stub was that others could also contribute. How long must the article be before it's allowed in mainspace? I assume the two sources I began with (Newsweek and The New Yorker) are reliable sources. Sorry, this as a stub seems fine. Feel free to move it back. Silikonz 💬 18:03, 27 February 2023 (UTC) reply
@ Littleolive oil, saw your comment. I don't doubt TimidGuy's experience, on first glance the sources seemed to lack WP:SIGCOV, but see above. This was a mistake on my part, apologies. Silikonz 💬 18:13, 27 February 2023 (UTC) reply
Thanks, Silikonz. It was, admittedly, a pretty stubby stub. I've added a few more sentences and The Guardian as a source. I guess I'll work on it a bit more in draft space as time allows. I believe this feature has been added since I was last active in WP. TimidGuy ( talk) 20:08, 27 February 2023 (UTC) reply
No Wikipedia hasn't changes that much. Timid Guy your stub is perfectly acceptable give the two RS. Further as an autoconfirmed user you do not need to submit your articles for publication in the main space. From WP:NEW "Note: The ability to create articles directly in mainspace is restricted to autoconfirmed users,..." .
From WP:STUB
This page in a nutshell: An article too short and incomplete to provide more than rudimentary information about a subject should be marked as a stub by adding a stub template from the list here to the end of the article. Anyone can edit a stub article, or remove a stub template from an article which is no longer a stub.
