Robert Brent

Hi Carter,

I do use a program to find misspellings, but I correct the articles by hand so I don't change intentional uses like the one you pointed out at Robert Brent. I have removed "altho" from my list because it is commonly used in quotations. Thanks. Wmahan . 16:38, 2004 Sep 3 (UTC)

The Humungous Image Tagging Project

Hi. You've helped with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wiki Syntax, so I thought it worth alerting you to the latest and greatest of Wikipedia fixing project, User:Yann/Untagged Images, which is seeking to put copyright tags on all of the untagged images. There are probably, oh, thirty thousand or so to do (he said, reaching into the air for a large figure). But hey: they're images ... you'll get to see lots of random pretty pictures. That must be better than looking for at at and the the, non? You know you'll love it. best wishes -- Tagishsimon (talk)

Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man ( comment| talk)

MD 201

MD 295 only exists north of the B-W Parkway, taking it to Baltimore (I believe the Parkway ends at MD 175, beyond which it is MD 295). The short road connecting the Parkway at US 50 to DC 295 is MD 201, which continues north from US 50 on Kenilworth Ave. In fact signage on US 50 west says MD 201 SOUTH TO I-295; I can find a photo if you require proof. Hi! if you have a moment, could you please see m:Wikinews and blogs to comment? We're interested in learning how Wikinews can work with bloggers; what they might be interested in, how they can take advantage of Wikinews, how they can contribute through their blogs, etc. Thanks! Amgine/ talk

List of Amtrak stations

We notice your recent effort to update this list (List of Amtrak stations). While you have no way of knowing, we have already incorporated all your updates (and MANY more) in our ongoing project to massively update and improve this list. However, we have chosen to save the all updates once we are nearly done, rather than a piecemeal approach. You are welcome to do as you wish, but in the end a little more patience will likely save you a VERY large amount of duplicated effort. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.119.83.174 ( talk) 00:21, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

Regarding Freak folk

You do believe I should link it to psychedelic folk? Aleccat ( talk) 18:31, 23 November 2016 (UTC)

I don't really feel strongly about stubbing and building out a freak folk page vs. merging it with psychedelic folk, but psychedelic folk does already have mentions of freak folk on it, so the later course makes sense. I'm not too conversant with either genre, but I don't see any reason or connections to justify a merger of freak folk with anti-folk. Carter ( talk) 18:51, 23 November 2016 (UTC)

Hello - I hope this is the right way to reply to your December 27 comment. Thanks you for it. The reference you cite is an alternative to my #3. The texts of the two in the Journal are the same. I have made use of some of the material on the obit., which I hope is what you had in mind. Even if it isn't, it turned out to be a useful addition anyway! Happy New Year. Saint Francis Int'l School

Hi! Read this edit summary. When did they close the Hyattsville campus? WhisperToMe ( talk) 05:41, 3 March 2018 (UTC)

In 2010, when St. Camillus and St. Mark's merged to create St. Francis International, they consolidated at the St. Camillus campus, using St. Mark's athletic facilities and for some summer programs. [1] In 2013, College Park Academy Public Charter School opened, using the St. Mark's facility. [2] I believe St. Francis still uses the St. Mark's facility's athletic fields and for summer programs, but I'm not certain. In 2013, College Park Academy moved to a new facility, [3] but I'm not how/if St. Mark's is still being used. Carter ( talk) 12:53, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the info! I added back a little bit of history of St. Marks; I still think the info on the former St. Mark's should be there, as it was previously in Hyattsville as articles are meant to cover history too (that's why I added the info on black kids in Hyattsville pre-1960s going to segregated schools). You were definitely right about the other school zoning (I checked the maps). I also went ahead and updated the College Park Academy Public Charter School article.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Grand Chancellor of France, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Cardinal, Dominican and Louis de Luxembourg ( check to confirm |  fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
