Happy editing! Someone who's wrong on the internet ( talk) 07:47, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here.
Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
.Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.
Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".
Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may
appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

I've changed this block to prevent you from editing until this is resolved. This isn't a matter of pedantry, there are policies to observe here if you want to participate; Deepfriedokra was trying to help you do so, and you threw it back in his face. Please edit your existing request to make a better choice of new username(don't make a new, additional request). If you don't make a proper choice, your talk page access will be removed next. 331dot ( talk) 09:18, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
I hope I am doing this correctly, it was not my intent to double post. I wrongly thought I was supposed to enter a new request if the prior was denied. On this attempt I did not type a new unblock prompt in, I just edited the current pending unblock dialogue box. By deleting my prior request and replacing it with the appropriate requested username "dvrh4m". I sincerely hope this is the correct procedure, I am doing my best to edit my existing request and not duplicate. Thank you all for your patience in this and not banning me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tao.contracting.229 ( talk • contribs)

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, please place {{subst:Unblock on hold-notification | 1=Tao.contracting.229}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following, replacing {{subst:Decline reason here}}
with any specific rationale. If you do not edit the text after "decline=", a
default reason why the request was declined will be inserted.

Is there a way for me to request a username change to someone else? I have waited months, and asked politely if there is a time frame. No one is responding. I fulfilled all the requests made of me, have never partaken in any type of spam, vandalism, or self promotion. My edit history shows me earnestly trying to contribute throughout my time on wikipedia. The administrators responded very quickly to block me but no one will even take 10 seconds to explain if this said block is to be indefinite, or update it to a given timeframe. People engaging in blatant vandalism or paid editing are afforded three warnings, am I really just permanently blocked for making the wrong username? Is three months not sufficient? I just want to continue contributing, Is there a way I can appeal to at least have a finite time frame? Tao.contracting.229 ( talk) 02:17, 21 April 2024 (UTC).
