The article Grigg Hall has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable building at UNC Charlotte

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. What did you think about the deletion notice you received?

Hi Stanton49, You recently received a message about either "Nomination for deletion" or "Proposed deletion" of an article you created. I'd like to ask you a few quick questions:

  1. Was the message helpful? Were the instructions clear and easy to follow?
  2. If not, how do you think the message could be improved?
  3. What do you think about the deletion process in general? Do you understand how to contest a deletion?

You can feel free to answer on my talk page or send me your response by email (mpinchuk@wikimedia.org). (I won't quote you or link your answers to your username if you don't feel comfortable with that.) Your feedback is incredibly useful for improving the content of deletion notifications, so please take a minute to think about and answer these questions. Thank you! Orphaned non-free media (File:Charlotte49ers.png)

Thanks for uploading File:Charlotte49ers.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot ( talk) 06:03, 2 December 2012 (UTC) reply

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Jerry Richardson Stadium, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: McColl–Richardson Field. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot ( talk) 15:45, 11 June 2013 (UTC) reply

2019 US Banknote Contest

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here

Map of Current NCAA D-1 FBS Football Teams

Hi there,

I see your very useful map uploaded under the “college football” article has fallen quite outdated now, by about 6 years. Would you mind if I replaced it with an updated, more legible image file? No offense is intended, I just think it’s difficult to read. What program did you use & what software was able to pinpoint campus locations for you? I’m more of an amateur cartographer/photoshop nerd, not a professional, so I’ve never worked with pinpointing locations like I’ll need to do so here for each school.

Also, I’ve uploaded a few maps to Wikipedia now via Wikicommons or whatever, but I’ve had an issue where the algorithm thinks I’m uploading an identical image already in the database. The error doesn’t let you negotiate either, it’s just “retry” or “cancel.” Before I spend way too long nerding out over this updated map, do you have any tips for me as to why that happens or what I can do about it? I like making maps or just shading in updated info, it’s an easy way to contribute meaningfully but Wikimedia has thus far given me trouble.

I don’t know how anyone gets started as an editor on this website, it’s far less intuitive than I thought it would be when I began. I’ve just been asking Wiki editors like you for help along the way haha. Thanks for anything you might know that can help me here, and take care!

Ways to improve Charlotte–East Carolina rivalry

Hello, Stanton49,

Thank you for creating Charlotte–East Carolina rivalry.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Just because two teams plays does not make their rivalry notable. Most of your sources do not even mention the rivalry. One does so obliquely, while another does give it a brief mention. You need in-depth coverage of the rivalry to show that it's notable.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Onel5969}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Charlotte–East Carolina rivalry moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Charlotte–East Carolina rivalry, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. It is not enough that two teams simply play one another. The sourcing needs to be in-depth about the rivalry.( ?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed ( verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
