Hi. I am currently seeking some help on using AWB (still learning =P) on a Wikia project. There seems to be many folks here who know a lot about it and you seem to be one of them. Do you know of a way to remove template coding from a page and leave no blank line behind? I've been using the normal find and replace function but I can't figure out a way to do this. Is there perhaps a regex fix for this? Thanks for any help forthcoming. AnnicAllus (Talk) 01:58, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

and replace with nothing should do it as a quick solution.

Hi, recently edits claiming that WMD were found extensively in Iraq and the guilt of Hossam Mohammed Amin have been added to Hossam Mohammed Amin. Since I noticed you have edited this article in the past, perhaps you would be interested in helping to resolve the BLP issue.-- I am One of Many ( talk) 17:47, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
I got your point. But... have you got any alternative regex in mind? Or maybe a "group of regexes" that may accomplish to that job? I tried to think a bout it but I haven't got any brillant idea. I've thought that maybe the In template option of AWB may help (see the other messages of mine), but I don't know exactly how it works. Let me know, -- Andyrom75 ( talk) 17:49, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

and only apply the regex if it doesn't? This might solve your immediate problem, but in the bigger picture your regex applied over a long string is likely to backtrack a lot. A better approach would be to find all the matches, remove them from the text, then build the desired string back up again, so you'd need to write a Custom Module rather than just a set of find & replace regexes. This is a limitation of regexes rather than AWB.

A nomination is taking place as to discuss whether Tom Crabtree (journalist) should be deleted or not. The discussion will be held at the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tom Crabtree (journalist). However, do not remove the AfD message. WisconsinBoyClevelandRocks228844 ( talk) 02:28, 30 June 2013 (UTC)
