Hi! I found your name on the WikiProject History members' page. I would be very happy to get some input on a simple problem for the article Jesuit Missions of Chiquitos. Basically the question is: What was the reason for the expulsion of the Jesuits from Spanish America in 1767? Was it:

1. The conflicts in Europe between the Jesuits and the ruling powers (France, Spain, Portugal,...).
2. A power struggle in South America with Portugal and Spain where the Jesuits ran a quasi-independent state in between the Spanish and Portuguese realms.
