"Some common points of argument..."

I'm confused. First you say that the box should go to the top and have a bold, red-letter headline. Then you say it doesn't matter what it says because no one will pay any attention to it anyway. Am I mis-reading your remarks? Butwhatdoiknow ( talk) 18:11, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

I say it should go to the top so that when we point out that they should read it it makes them seem even more dumb since it's plainly visible and easy to find. But I think the kind of people that it's written for are not going to NOT post/edit/deface after reading it, their God demands that they obey and what we say won't matter. —  raeky ( talk |  edits) 18:15, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Ah, but won't it make them look even stupider if the text makes it clear that the topic they are posting about is covered on the FAQ page? (As it is, they could say "oh, I didn't know what a 'common point of argument' meant so I didn't think to look there.") Butwhatdoiknow ( talk) 18:32, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Well I suppose you could dumb it down to only use 4 letter words or even better an all picture instruction set for the ones that can't read. But I don't have a problem with the current wording no, not only that I don't think it matters, it also I think is in fairly plain english "common points of argument" should be understood by someone with a public school education, or worse home schooled from the bible only. —  raeky ( talk |  edits) 18:35, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Well, I tried. Thanks for discussing this with me. Butwhatdoiknow ( talk) 18:40, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Good effort, but I think theres bigger wars to fight. ;-) —  raeky ( talk |  edits) 18:48, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
