Hello. Bishop Piętak is not surely Czech and bishop Volný/Wolny? Well, my family knows him personally, he also baptised me :) and I can tell he and his son also, both are ethnic Poles, although they both very probably declare Czech nationality when we think of their behaviour in Bludovice... :) - Darwinek 09:18, 10 February 2007 (UTC) reply

Also from what I know, vast majority of followers in ČR are Polish, both self-declared and ethnic. E.g. average citizen Cienciala or Byrtus praying in Czech can be self-declared Czech but ethnically is Polish, and you know that :). Read some books by Siwek about ethnicity in this region. Take Český Těšín for example, where Czech lutherans attend church of Česká církev evangelická augsburského vyznání at Rozvoj. - Darwinek 09:24, 10 February 2007 (UTC) reply

- Darwinek 08:52, 13 February 2007 (UTC) reply

Did you know that Darwinek is also a self-declared Czech ( [1])? And he is not pushing POV, no, no. :) -- Xixaxu 13:03, 27 May 2007 (UTC) reply

Use of "Teschen" is self-evident in German-speaking populace. Personally I've never heard someone using Teschen now, but several times when people got more drunk in local gospa. Besides source should be provided for such highly controversial statement. Try to add to Gdańsk that it is nowadays called Danzig by some (which is also partially true) and see the storm it will unleash. By the way I think it is quite redundant. Třinec is also called 3nec and Jablunkov Džablo (Dżablo) by many people and we don't state it as unnecessary fact. - Darwinek ( talk) 22:15, 23 February 2008 (UTC) reply

I see what you mean. Sure, it is also used in English-language acedemic works, you are right of course, but that's the case of many larger or more important towns in Poland, i.e. the use of former German names, which became widely used in English also due to their proximity to English language. - Darwinek ( talk) 13:07, 24 February 2008 (UTC) reply

Non-free rationale for File:P. Jan Bula.JPG

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:P. Jan Bula.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. -- MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC) reply

Pavel Konzbul moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Pavel Konzbul, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. ( ?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed ( verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~Styyx Talk? 20:44, 25 June 2022 (UTC) reply

Pavel Konzbul, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Congratulations, and thank you for helping expand the scope of Wikipedia! We hope you will continue making quality contributions.

The article has been assessed as Stub-Class, which is recorded on its talk page. It is commonplace for new articles to start out as stubs and then attain higher grades as they develop over time. You may like to take a look at the grading scheme to see how you can improve the article.

Since you have made at least 10 edits over more than four days, you can now create articles yourself without posting a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for creation if you prefer.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask at the help desk. Once you have made at least 10 edits and had an account for at least four days, you will have the option to create articles yourself without posting a request to Articles for creation.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Johann von Staupitz, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Czech ( check to confirm |  fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Bohuslav Kokotek has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{ prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Pavel Konzbul has been accepted

If you would like to help us improve this process, please consider leaving us some feedback.

Thanks again, and happy editing!
