Non-free image use

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, it appears that one or more of the files you have uploaded or added to a page, specifically Bell Biv DeVoe, may fail our non-free policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted file of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly ( talk) 02:53, 31 July 2018 (UTC) reply

Uploading files to Commons

Hi Popthemop27. You've recently uploaded a couple of album covers to Commons as your "own work" which have already been deleted or which are soon to be deleted. "Own work" basically means you are the creator of the content and hold the copyright over it; so, in the case of an album cover it means you are the artist/photographer who actualldesigned/created the original cover. "Own work" doesn't mean finding a image online or somewhere else, downloading/scanning it onto your computer, and then uploading the file to Commons. Commons doesn't accept fair use content, so you should not be uploading files of content for which you are not the copyright owner. Most record album cover art is protected by copyright and this copyright is either held/shared by the record company who released the album or the artist who created the cover art. Purchasing an album gives you physical ownership of the actual record/CD, but it doesn't not give you copyright ownership over the cover art or the songs themselves. It's OK to make mistakes and image use/copyright can be tricky things. However, if you keep uploading files like this to Commons, you going to eventually find your account blocked by a Commons administrator. So, unless you're absolutely 100% sure that a file you upload will satisfy c:Commons:Licensing, you should probably ask for help first at c:Commons:Village pump/Copyright. -- Marchjuly ( talk) 02:00, 2 August 2018 (UTC) reply

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Bell Biv DeVoe. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. -- Marchjuly ( talk) 21:38, 4 August 2018 (UTC) reply

Please don't add personal comments like By the way...Stop removing my pictures! to articles. If you want to comment on ways to improve an article, you should use the article talk page; if you want to ask questions regarding the edits of another editor, ask them on the other editor's user talk page. Articles are edited collaboratively and no one person has any ownership over article content. As long as your edits are in accordance with relevant Wikipedia policy and guidelines, you should be fine; if not, they can either be reverted completely or revised accordingly by another editor. The image files you've been adding to Bell Biv DeVoe are clear copyright violations or clear violations of Wikipedia's non-free content use policy, and will continue to be removed as long as you continue to violate these relevant policies. -- Marchjuly ( talk) 21:50, 4 August 2018 (UTC) reply

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Judge Judy 5AM Episode requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Oh Baby (Seizo Song) moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Oh Baby (Seizo Song), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. ( ?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed ( verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. put it back to an article like it should be because I don't know much about this song. do it. right now. just do it. just because i'm a noob at making articles doesn't mean you have to move it to a draft space. just let other people edit it so that I can be happy. I'm just a noob. don't go too hard on me by moving work like other noobs like me have made to a draftspace. this is disrespectful. if everyone continues treating my edits and creations this way, i may just delete my wikipedia account. not kidding you piece of spamware (sorry for roasting you) Popthemop27 ( talk) 05:02, 31 August 2018 (UTC) reply
