Wade's Causeway, Tempest Anderson and YMT

Hi Dan, I'm glad you got nosy! I'd been keeping a very-impressed eye on Wade's Causeway for a while. I hadn't realised the Tempest Anderson connection! There'll be loads more photos of him coming from YMT soon. I'll have a look through the Wade's Causeway piece and ask around for resource's at YMT that might help improve it. Let me know if there's any specific references you need access to. It would also be great to have your skills on other material related to the project so if you have other interests you'd like me to help with let me know. I assume you've seen the project pages comments and ideas are also welcome there. PatHadley ( talk) 18:04, 10 November 2013 (UTC) reply

Thanks Pat. I actually have a request in with YMT already to see if either they are able to have a shuffle through archives for any old material from 1910s-1920s relating to Wade's Causeway or whether I might be allowed public access to the archives if they are set up to allow this. I think my request it currently sat with Adam Parker in Collections but there's no particular rush. From memory any material would date right back to the founding of the museum so is probably going to be either uncatalogued or missing based on past experience :-) I also have an appointment lined up to visit the YAS office in Leeds too to have a dig through some of their old material.
Wade's Causeway is definitely the structure that has caught my imagination at the moment and I'll be working on it's article probably another month or so at least. But after that I'm certainly willing to work on any other YMT-related articles. I would be especially interested in articles relating to the early antiquarians etc. I'll have a lead through the YMT project pages.
Many thanks, - PocklingtonDan ( talk) 07:37, 11 November 2013 (UTC) reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
