You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. It's surprising that there would be a mistake in there. You'd think they'd factcheck every one of those lines a few times. I thought about sending the NCAA a note, Roberto221. You may have inspired me to do so. Ncjon ( talk) 03:50, 11 March 2016 (UTC) reply

Syracuse

I received a response back from the NCAA about the appearances for Syracuse, St. John's and Louisiana-Lafayette. I described and pointed to the pages in the record book and also sent them the reference you posted about Syracuse. They agreed with me on St. John's and Louisiana-Lafayette and were going to make the corrections. For Syracuse, they said that the wins are being vacated but not the appearances which doesn't make any sense to me. So their appearances should be 37. I'll send you the email if you like. Round of 64

Next time, can you leave me a comment or maybe a comment at WikiProject:College basketball before you make dozens of reverts? There was actually a conversation about this at WP:CBB and we decided to use the Round of XX. Yes, First Round is the official name, which is why we decided to include it in the schedule table as a compromise. The issue is that if a reader is flipping between different seasons for a particular team, it could say "Second Round" for both years but it actually means something different. Would you care to open up the conversation again? I'm not going to spend time changing them all back again and getting into an edit war. Public Thanks

Ncjon, I just want to thank you for catching my mistake on the List of 50 programs with most all-time wins. I totally forgot that 25 years was the requirement. But, I would also like to add, Wisconsin had a record of 27-10 in 2016-17, which, in addition to their previous 1,552 wins, would put them at 1,579 wins, and Washington State would have 1,572 with their 13-18 2016-17 season. Therefore, Wisconsin should be awarded the 50th spot. Please correct me if I am missing something.

Nonetheless, thank you.

Indiana Mr. Basketball

Re [1]. What is "snarky" about following guidelines or summary "WP is not a WP:RS / WP:CIRCULAR". WP:V is fundamental, agree? The article still fails WP:GNG as having only one non-primary source. Widefox; talk 17:23, 4 October 2015 (UTC) reply

In the amount of time it took you to tag that - and now bring your complaint to my page - you could have made fixes. The circular comment is snarky, sorry. It doesn't fail the notability guidelines, although certainly could use some improvement. Ncjon ( talk) 09:47, 5 October 2015 (UTC) reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Brice Johnson

Hasn't technically qualified for his jersey to be honored. USA Today isn't one of the granting bodies. He will make first or second team by one if not all of the biggies, though. Rikster2 ( talk) 19:43, 7 March 2016 (UTC) reply

Thanks Rikster2. I realized that a little while after I made the change but hadn't had a chance to go back and correct it. I was just trying to satisfy the IP editor who is insisting on including Paige and Johnson in the chart. It's fixed now. Ncjon ( talk) 21:00, 7 March 2016 (UTC) reply

NCAA tournament records

I stand corrected. You are right! I found a similar error in the Women's record book a few years back. I email the NCAA with the findings. Good job. Roberto221 ( talk) 22:54, 10 March 2016 (UTC) reply

Roberto221 ( talk) 19:16, 13 March 2016 (UTC) reply

That's a bizarre position, but OK. Ncjon ( talk) 20:39, 13 March 2016 (UTC) reply

At your request Richmond96 I started a discussion at WikiProject:College Basketball. The only previous discussion I found there was long before the NCAA returned to calling the games first and second round, btw. Ncjon ( talk) 11:04, 21 March 2016 (UTC) reply

Help with 2012-13 Butler men's basketball page

Hey man, I'm in the beginning stages of a major Butler BBall wiki project and was wondering if you could help me figure out why everything is so small on the 2012-13 page. I couldn't see anything in the editor during a quick look that seemed out of the ordinary. Appreciate it! P.S. If you want to help out on the project I'll be using Sports-Reference to start making season articles all the way back to 1988-89! BUPetey ( talk) 13:24, 8 August 2018 (UTC) reply

Toby Hampson moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Toby Hampson, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. ( ?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed ( verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
