K-UTE Radio

Hello, sorry if I am breaking any rules or have missed something while reading the edit history of the K-UTE page I am fairly new.

My name is Erik and a portion of my thesis has to do with K-UTE history. In your edits you cite an article that apparently appeared in the Chronicle on February 7th, 2007 titled "Dirty Air" about the show "behind the Blue Door" which was operating a phone sex hotline. The link appears to be dead and I emailed the webmaster and he says that nothing was eliminated that he knows of. Today I went to the chronicle offices to search for a physical copy. I opened their archive and looked at the paper published on February 7th 2007 and there is no article there that talks about K-UTE or the events detailing anything about "Behind the blue door".

I am less concerned about correcting the page and more concerned with getting someone to verify that this actually happened. So my question is this.

Do you have a working link to that article or copy? Were you working at K-UTE during this time or have any first or even second hand knowledge about this event? If so may I ask you a few questions?

I read your profile and know you hate grammatical mistakes. Unfortunately, I am prone to making lots of grammatical errors when writing so sorry.

Thanks so much I look forward to your response!

(not sure what my tone is in this message but I hope it comes across as excited) — Preceding unsigned comment added by KasperYde ( talkcontribs) 00:24, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

I worked at K-UTE from 2005 through about 2007, and know for a fact that this did happen as mentioned. I still also remember the articles existing in the Daily Chronicle, despite you not being able to find them. Even though those links don't work, they did at one point. I remember the fallout from this. When their show was still on the air, they would often taunt fellow DJs, by calling into their shows (especially mine) which was known as the UFM show. You can do a google search for UFM Show and K-UTE to find my show, the archives of which are still online. I also do recall ASUU removing funding from the station, and how we were operating basically on no budget. The studio was a mess, the equipment was failing. Nobody cared except for a select few. If you need anything else, feel free to ask me. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 23:46, 15 January 2015 (UTC)

KUNV Former Staff and Current Staff sections

Hello, I noticed you removed the Former Staff section for the KUNV entry and noted the Current Staff entry as not containing anyone notable. While a few of the former staff would qualify as notable from a nation-wide or world-wide perspective, such as Jimmy Kimmel or Ken Jordan, most would be considered notable to either the Las Vegas or Mountain West area. Is there a general guideline for how notable someone needs to be in order to be included in a Wikipedia entry? Or would it be more helpful to include information of note to justify their inclusion in the page? Thank you for your assistance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fmdj1 ( talkcontribs) 22:58, 26 May 2015 (UTC)

I'm not a fan of lists for the most part, and neither is Wikipedia if you look at those two policies I posted on the talk page of KUNV, but I can understand a few of the former staff being notable. I'm not completely sure, but I think most other editors would agree with me in saying if they have their own Wikipedia article, they are probably notable enough to be on the article. That being said, if sources can be found for everyone of those people, I guess they could be included. I tend to air on the side of the Wikipedia policies that it is not a catalog of all information or a program guide. Good luck! ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 23:22, 26 May 2015 (UTC)

Bermuda Triangle

Please note that, per WP:RS/IMDb, IMDb is not considered a reliable source and should generally not be used in citations. Thanks! DonIago ( talk) 13:48, 8 October 2015 (UTC)

I can find several references to the episode other than IMDB, including the actual episode itself at Hulu [2]. Other television episodes are linked to a website TV.com, which also has a link to the episode in question [3]. An issue I keep having is why this particular entry can't be included? What about the rest of that section, re: In Popular Culture. I don't see any sources for the rest of that material. Shouldn't we delete those as well? I did tag the section for clean-up. I haven't had time to review it in more detail yet. You are welcome to improve the references. Personally, as the section is tagged, I would give it some time before deleting any of the references. DonIago ( talk) 20:44, 8 October 2015 (UTC)

What was the problem with the edit I made? It previously said she won for a role she didn't win for. The website I sourced http://www.seiyuawards.jp/winning/winning_03 doesn't even mention the role that was quoted (Louise from Familiar of Zero). Neither did the website that was previously sourced. She won for the role of Taiga, during the third Seiyuu awards. Not Louise. The old source didn't even specify a role. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-03-07/3rd-annual-seiyu-award-winners-officially-announced — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.215.51.25 ( talk) 16:07, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

Hello, Milonica.

I noticed you left a message on my talk page indicating that I was conducting "original research" including unpublished syntheses of sources on Thank You. The only problem with the statement is that I only edits I have presently made to the page, all of which were redirects to different pages (the second of which was a redirect I meant to set-up for another page and which I undid myself after noticing the mistake). Fair enough. I guess all I saw was the redirect to List of programs broadcast by Cartoon Network#Acquired animated series which Walking Dead is most certainly not obviously. I will remove your warning. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 23:48, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

Nomination of KWXR for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article KWXR is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/KWXR until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Bearcat ( talk) 21:20, 13 August 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of KEWA

The article KEWA has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The station never went to air; its construction permit expired unbuilt. Stations that never launched do not enjoy the presumption of notability assumed for established/operating stations.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 18:33, 8 October 2015 (UTC)
I did tag the section for clean-up. I haven't had time to review it in more detail yet. You are welcome to improve the references. Personally, as the section is tagged, I would give it some time before deleting any of the references. DonIago ( talk) 20:44, 8 October 2015 (UTC)

Edit to corrugated cardbox design page

I wonder why you think my edit is not constructive and undid my edit.

I am new to Wikipedia editing but I think my edit is going to help readers quickly understand telescoping cardbox by pointing to a common found example. Yck011522 ( talk) 07:01, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

My apologies. I was using a new tool called STiki and your edit came across as questionable. I have reverted my edit so that yours is in place now. Again, my bad. ḾỊḼʘɴίcảTalkI DX for fun! 07:04, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

Rie Kugimiya

Original Research?

Hello, Milonica.

I noticed you left a message on my talk page indicating that I was conducting "original research" including unpublished syntheses of sources on Thank You. The only problem with the statement is that I only edits I have presently made to the page, all of which were redirects to different pages (the second of which was a redirect I meant to set-up for another page and which I undid myself after noticing the mistake). Silver Buizel ( talk) 01:05, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
