First of all, it has never been proven and will never be either, that Syrian = Assyrian, there is theories and theories doesn't equal truth, and if you have read for example science you would know this, obviously you haven't. This page is strictly about the assyrians and not a stupid laundry list of villages who claim otherwise. The ACS article should not be moved but keep it's current ACS title. The text below the title could only mention the name Assyrians or Assyrians/Syriacs. It is indeed a really hard issue for the few of us to decide what to do when our politicians and leaders are that backward and can't even come along with the name issue. When it comes to other articles, depending on the situation one will either state Assyrian, Chaldean or Syriac and link the name to the ACS article where the ACS article below the title could only have Assyrian in it, excluding the religion part where Nestorian (ACOE), Jacobite (Syriac Orthodox & Catholic) and Chaldean is mentioned. Shlama user Aramaean Syriac has vandalized Nuri Kino by putting Syriac all over the article. Undo his edit and provide this source from Nuri Kino's offical website stating he is Assyrian here [7]. Click on the about tab and it will specifically state he is only Assyrian and not Syriac. Provide this source right after the word Assyrian to stop this POV pushing. - To tell you the truth, the Assyrian/Syriac title has been accepted by both sides (maybe not all members). I think that the change on Nuri Kino's page that User:ArameanSyriac made are fine. But, don't worry khon, trying to be neutral as well I changed the "Syriac" to "Assyrian/Syriac" in the following pages: Mardin, Nusaybin, and Doğançay, Mardin. I mean User:ArameanSyriac changed the identity of Nuri Kino page to fit what we had compromized, to make everyone happy, so I felt like doing the same thing to some other pages as well. Look, I dont have anything in favour of Turkmen or against Assyrians, but it has no logic and it would be a clear example of double standards to remove the Iraqi Turkmen from the map in Tuz Khurmato while maintaining the Qaraqosh Protection Committee in Bakhdida & Bartella, as the three towns are in control of Kurdish Peshmerga forces, although with Turkmen militiamen in Tuz Khurmato and Assyrian militiamen in Bakhdida & Bartella. Shlama user Aramaean Syriac has vandalized Nuri Kino by putting Syriac all over the article. Undo his edit and provide this source from Nuri Kino's offical website stating he is Assyrian here [7]. Click on the about tab and it will specifically state he is only Assyrian and not Syriac. Provide this source right after the word Assyrian to stop this POV pushing. - To tell you the truth, the Assyrian/Syriac title has been accepted by both sides (maybe not all members). I think that the change on Nuri Kino's page that User:ArameanSyriac made are fine. But, don't worry khon, trying to be neutral as well I changed the "Syriac" to "Assyrian/Syriac" in the following pages: Mardin, Nusaybin, and Doğançay, Mardin. I mean User:ArameanSyriac changed the identity of Nuri Kino page to fit what we had compromized, to make everyone happy, so I felt like doing the same thing to some other pages as well. I cannot locate the post on the Ethnic conflicts noticeboard. Perhaps the reason you haven't received an answer is because no one can locate your post? I haven't fully investigated, but perhaps your draft wasn't saved, or the server had a hiccup, or perhaps even someone has reverted your post? Anyway, I'd still recommend posting to that noticeboard. If that doesn't work, you may want to contact some of the admins you were working with before, or consider some of the dispute resolution steps. Look, I dont have anything in favour of Turkmen or against Assyrians, but it has no logic and it would be a clear example of double standards to remove the Iraqi Turkmen from the map in Tuz Khurmato while maintaining the Qaraqosh Protection Committee in Bakhdida & Bartella, as the three towns are in control of Kurdish Peshmerga forces, although with Turkmen militiamen in Tuz Khurmato and Assyrian militiamen in Bakhdida & Bartella. - I understand where you are coming from after reading this post, but I made it clear in the discussion page of the template how they are not the same. I hope this clears up the misunderstanding had.
