Factual mistakes in Bicycle trainer article

Hello Maligne,

First of all, I hope I use the right feature to get in touch with you. I am not familiar with how this system works. :-)

I noticed that you are the last editor of the article on bike trainers. I noticed it doesn't include important information. Smart trainers are further divided into interactive and non-interactive.

The interactive ones can change the resistance depending on the indoor cycling app. Non-interactive ones can't do this and can only transmit riding data such as power or cadence. These are usually smart fluid trainers (see https://www.cyclistshub.com/how-to-choose-a-bike-trainer/#App-&-Device-Compatibility ).

It would be great if you could update this info because newbies often don't know about this and then are disappointed that their "smart trainer" doesn't adjust resistance.

Hey Petr (?),
that's a really point and would be a good addition to the article. I'm unfortunately strapped for time right now and don't know when I'll come around to extending the article. It's probably best to be boldand just give it a shot yourself :) Otherwise you can also ask for assistance on the articles talk page: Talk:Bicycle trainer

Honestly, I'm not very good at writing in a "wikipedia" style and meeting guidelines. Do you know of any editors I could tag? Alternatively, I could try to write the section and send it to you for editing? :-) Minarik Petr ( talk) 06:48, 22 November 2023 (UTC) reply
@ Minarik Petr I took a look at your edit history and those seem perfectly fine too me, I'd say you're better than you think.
You could definitely post a draft on the article's talk page, someone else or I will surely take a look at it :) MaligneRange ( talk) 07:01, 22 November 2023 (UTC) reply
Thank you @ MaligneRange, I will do my best. Minarik Petr ( talk) 07:05, 22 November 2023 (UTC) reply

ICD-11 codes

Wow! You're amazing! Your help is very much appreciated! Have a nice day, Manifestation ( talk) 17:00, 15 January 2024 (UTC) reply

Hold up!

There may be an easier way to add the ICD-11 codes! I asked at Wikidata: wikidata:Wikidata:Project chat#The ICD-11 coding challenge. - Manifestation ( talk) 10:42, 16 January 2024 (UTC) reply

Thanks for the heads up, I'll take a look :) MaligneRange ( talk) 10:58, 16 January 2024 (UTC) reply
MaligneRange, I apologize for dragging you into this. I really thought this was a good idea. Initially, Wikidata did not even cross my mind. One reason for that, is that the project is hardly visible on Wikipedia at all. Now that I think about it, I can't understand why. Wikidata was founded over a decade ago. It has grown into a powerful, centralized repository of info. So then why do we still have {{ Infobox}}es hard-coded into our articles when we can pull the info from Wikidata? I'm not trying to make excuses for my behavior. I will admit this was just a very stupid idea from my part. Again, I'm truly sorry. Take care, Manifestation ( talk) 15:54, 23 January 2024 (UTC) reply
No worries! Little Pob's comment on WikiProject Medicine sounds quite promising, hopefully some future proof solution can be figured out. Cheers. MaligneRange ( talk) 16:09, 24 January 2024 (UTC) reply
