CS1 error on Douglas Cumming

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Douglas Cumming, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A " missing periodical" error. References show this error when the name of the magazine or journal is not given. Please edit the article to add the name of the magazine/journal to the reference, or use a different citation template. ( Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) ( talk) 16:00, 18 April 2023 (UTC) reply

Hello, I've just double checked the references. They look fine to me. The names of the journals and websites are already there in the citations. Or am I missing on something again? I appreciate your concern. Thank you! ~~~~ Leojuan ( talk) 13:59, 2 May 2023 (UTC) reply

National varieties of English

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Singapore Girl, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the first author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. "Traveller" and "travelled" are correct spellings in Singapore. Hello.
Noted, thanks @ Julietdeltalima! I'll be more careful the next time something of the same nature appears on my screen for editing. I appreciate your guidance in this matter. Leojuan ( talk) 13:06, 19 May 2023 (UTC) reply

Bad reference

Please be sure to only use reliable sources as reference. Using an WP:IMDBREF as you did in your recent edit to Tom Malloy is not ok. Toddst1 ( talk) 23:31, 29 May 2023 (UTC) reply

Thank you for educating me on this matter. I'll make sure to be precise about this while making contributions in future. Leojuan ( talk) 12:40, 5 June 2023 (UTC) reply

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

Request reason:

I figured I made some edits and used some adjectives which may have brought me to this point. I'll make sure to avoid that next time I do the edits. Would really apprecaite this block lift! Leojuan ( talk) 06:30, 7 August 2023 (UTC) reply

Decline reason:

The issue is not that you used certain adjectives, that was just the symptom. Please specifically speak to the reason for the block as the block notice instructs. I am declining your request. 331dot ( talk) 09:45, 7 August 2023 (UTC) reply
