A tag has been placed on Phil Jones Associates requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{ hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — Timneu22 · talk 13:54, 23 July 2010 (UTC) reply

Request reason:

I made changes to the Manual for Streets entry yesterday which I consider to be verifiable and appropriate. At the same time I created a Phil Jones Associates entry, as I saw that other organisations who had been involved in preparing the document (WSP Group and Transport Research Laboratory) had entries and I believed that to be acceptable.

I see that the Phil Jones Associates entry has now been deleted and I understand that, and do not wish to challenge it.

However, I believe that the Manual for Streets page edits that I produced yesterday should be reinstated as they are accurate and of general interest. MfS is an extremely important document to UK transport planners and the current Wikipedia entry is out of date.

I would also request that my log in is unblocked as I wish to contribute my expertise to Wikipedia.

Decline reason:

Your request to be unblocked is declined because it does not address the reason for your block or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince administrators either (a) that the block was made in error or (b) that the block is no longer necessary because you understand what you are blocked for and you will not repeat that behavior or otherwise disrupt Wikipedia again and you will make productive contributions instead. Please read our guide to appealing blocks for more information. Toddst1 ( talk) 14:40, 24 July 2010 (UTC) reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{ unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for spamming or advertising. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{ unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

{{ unblock|You misunderstand my previous response. The request for unblocking does not relate to the entry Phil Jones Associates - I quite understand that that was inappopriate - but the entry Manual for Streets. That entry was edited by me and was accurate, although it can be improved much more. The removal of those changes has rendered the entry inaccurate and out of date. I am sure that this is not consistent with the aims of Wikipedia.

I reiterate that I wish to contribute further to topics on transport planning and street design, but clearly need to be unblocked to enable me to do this PhilJones88 ( talk) 09:13, 25 July 2010 (UTC)}}. reply

Well, because your username is related to a company, it will never be unblocked, as per the username policy. Even your other edits added additional information about your company - so no, your other edits were not good, as they were also spammy. You may request an unblock to change your username using {{ unblock-spamun}}, but violations of WP:COI and WP:PROMO will not be tolerated. Does this make sense? Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Allowing username change to kinverjones ( talk · contribs). Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking.
