Orphaned non-free media (File:Waroftheworldsthetruestorymovieposter.gif)

Thanks for uploading File:Waroftheworldsthetruestorymovieposter.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot ( talk) 04:10, 17 July 2012 (UTC) reply

Sudden edit?

I've merged the film articles, but in this edit, why did you delete the production info? I'm tempted to put it back, but the newspaper link is dead, so I can't verify the claim. Just curious. Thanks. -- Lexein ( talk) 23:25, 7 September 2012 (UTC) reply

Oh the article was put up for deletion, so I wanted to make it conform to standards that were suggested.. a few of the original links that made the page were, removed, such as the news paper articles about the initial production, feel free to work on the page. -- Jzesbaugh ( talk) 23:56, 12 September 2012 (UTC) reply

Oh, now I see what you're talking about. I was a bit too busy to look here before. FYI we don't delete reliably sourced content if it is relevant and non-trivial. No sensible Wikipedia editor would suggest such a thing, when the sources are reliable (newspapers, magazines, books, or some major-publication-related blogs, or primary sourced with support from other sources). Who suggested that you delete content? Pistols at dawn. -- Lexein ( talk) 07:31, 19 December 2012 (UTC) reply

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to H. G. Wells' The War of the Worlds (2005 film) may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Disambiguation link notification for March 21

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 10 Days in a Madhouse (Film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Non-free rationale for File:10DAYSposterB.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:10DAYSposterB.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 ( talk) 22:28, 29 March 2015 (UTC) reply

Your signature

FYI, part of your signature, Jz, at least as of 17:16, 18 June 2020 (UTC), is broken. It goes to a non-existent User:Jz...and in my browser ( because I ❤️ the VE), it flashes a warning…User account "Jz" is not registered. If you wish to use "Jz" as your username, please make a request at Wikipedia:Changing username. Apparently there was a User:Jz at one point, but they got bumped on over to User:Jz~enwiki in 2015 for some reasons I don't fully understand. (They never edited again.) Anyway, I'm pretty certain it's just a mistake on your part and you're not either User:Jz~enwiki or User:Jz. Psiĥedelisto ( talkcontribs) please always ping! 23:55, 18 June 2020 (UTC) reply

@ Psiĥedelisto: Thanks for the heads up. Fixedish. I'll fix the talk link in a bit. Appreciate the heads up! Jz (talk) 00:11, 19 June 2020 (UTC) reply
