Gamelatron

You're very quick to delete. I thought that the world's first & only robotic Gamelan was worthy of having a wiki as this is the FIRST & ONLY instrument, or robot like it. I wrote a small piece on it & an being plagued with questions. Normally I push them toward the wiki, in this case you think it's not even worthy enough to have a wiki? Engineers, musicians, and fans of technology would find this of interest. If certain deep fried foods are worthy, I was sure that this would be. I had only just begun work on it & you deleted it 2 minutes after the first save. What a shame. Please take the time to research Mechanical Instruments & let me know how you distinguish which ones are worthy of keeping on wiki. -- Prettydigital ( talk) 18:30, 20 January 2009 (UTC) reply

Notability of Bartholomew Allerton

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Bartholomew Allerton, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Bartholomew Allerton seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Bartholomew Allerton, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Hello - some editors fight off the vandal hordes, as I do repairing pages with citation errors. If I didn't - there would be a large backlog in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting and in Category:Pages with missing references list as in Category:Pages with broken reference names ( more than 1500 yesterday). But it is impossible to work it alone. Do you know how to do a " Blitz" (excuse the comparision) to find willing editors to work on it. It is much more easier to repair references if you do it one hour, one day or one week ago after the errors were made instead of months and years after the error was done. Very, very difficult to find these errors.

Only with WikiBlame Search it is possible to find and repair such errors.

"Mainland China"

I have added my comments in the only talk I saw of this terminology at Talk:2019–20 Wuhan coronavirus outbreak#Casualties Table. I saw discussion about why the use of "Mainland China" was used there. The terminology is simple and should be followed by the same list that List of sovereign nations follows. There is no controversy there and the manual of style around the terminology of countries and dependencies there should be the standard. Krazytea( talk) 01:51, 29 January 2020 (UTC) reply
