Regarding edits to Latchkey kid

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Drinxx! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bclickbank\.net\/.+, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links guidelines for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! AntiSpamBot 20:44, 1 August 2007 (UTC) reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Child discipline. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. - SpuriousQ ( talk) 20:47, 1 August 2007 (UTC) reply

This is your last warning.
The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Childcare, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from any site that uses the MediaWiki spam blacklist, which includes all of Wikimedia and Wikipedia. - SpuriousQ ( talk) 20:48, 1 August 2007 (UTC) reply

You have been temporarily blocked from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for continuing to add spam links. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

Request reason:

I had added what I thought to be 2 very helpful links regarding latchkey kids right after signing up, not realizing it was against the TOS. One of them wasn't working, so I tried to change it, but I incidentally added a third link by accident which I went back in and removed just a moment later. So the spambot racked up 3 TOS violations in my first 5 minutes of being a member because of that. So I've been banned for a total of 7+ years now which I think it quite excessive. No warnings were shown at the time of adding the info. I am now 7 years later seeing the warnings in my message center. I had no clue that I was even banned. I tried to add some legitimate info to a page tonight and was unable to do so which is how I found out I was banned. I can understand that ignorance of the rules is no excuse for breaking them, but your site makes it sound like I kept ignoring ongoing warnings about spamming when it all took place in a matter of minutes before I was even alerted to any wrongdoing. In addition, the person DINA who blocked me hasn't even been active on Wikipedia since 2009 according to her page. I find the entire situation to be absurdly over-exaggerated.

Decline reason:

I'd be amenable to unblocking this account, but would need to put a couple of provisos in place before doing so. Firstly, since your username matches the URL of the links you were adding (as well as being the name of a - presumably unrelated - company), you will need to agree to file a change of username request after being unblocked. Secondly, you would need to agree to refrain from adding external links, at least until you've demonstrated a sufficient familiarity with Wikipedia's policies. If you're wiling to abide by these requirements, please leave a response below (no need to format it as an unblock request) with the new username you would like to use (you should read the username policy first). Yunshui  09:59, 22 May 2014 (UTC) reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{ unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I would greatly appreciate that, as I have thoroughly understand the linking rules now. The link that in fact did have my username in it was the one I added accidentally which is the one I had gone back and removed on my 3rd edit. It wasn't added intentionally. If possible I would like the username to be "cooldivide". Again, I apologize for my lack of understanding at the time of my error. I can assure you it will not be an issue in the future. Thank you.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Drinxx ( talkcontribs)

Unblocked

Okay, based on the above I've lifted your block. Please go to Changing username and file a request there ("JimmyDocs" is perfectly acceptable) before continuing to edit. Regards, Yunshui  10:37, 22 May 2014 (UTC) reply

Thank you. I will use JimmyDocs as the new username. I will make the change now. Thank you Drinxx ( talk) 10:48, 22 May 2014 (UTC) reply
