Hi. I see you have nominated UAE for Good article status. Thanks for you enthusiasm, but it is generally not a good idea to nominate articles with outstanding cleanup tags. You also do not appear to have contributed much to the article. While this is not a requirement of nomination, it does help to have a good understanding of the nominated article so you can respond to a reviewers questions. I would suggest withdrawing the nomination for now and work to fix the issues identified by the tags. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia:WikiProject Skyscrapers (WP:SKY) - it is great to have another editor who is enthusiastic about skyscrapers, and Dubai skyscrapers in particular! However, I just wanted to talk to you about your recent adjustment of importance levels on the {{ Skyscrapers}} project template. Tallest building lists of cities with large skylines are, for the most important, of high or top importance to the project because they cluster together all of the individually-important buildings in a city and (if high quality) go into detail about the history of the city's skyline. It isn't so much about which city is overall more significant than another - this would only come into play with lists like List of tallest buildings in Providence, which is clearly not as important as List of tallest buildings in Dubai and thus listed as "Mid" importance. But cities like Minneapolis, Dallas, and especially Miami all have both significant high-rise history and skylines that rank among the 100 largest in the world, and they are thus listed as "High" or "Top" importance for the project. If you feel that this importance-ranking system should be adjusted, please feel free to start a discussion at WT:SKY. In the meantime, however, please stop "downgrading" articles and lists about US city articles (and "upgrading" the importance of buildings and lists from other regions of the world) without initiating some form of project discussion - it seems a bit WP:POINTYy. I would agree that the Chinese cities deserved an "upgrading" of importance, but that doesn't mean that all of the American cities need to be downgraded and labeled as "insignificant." Keep in mind that American cities tend to have a much longer history of high-rise construction than cities in other parts of the world, which increases the importance of that city's tallest buildings list to the project. That would be fine to me. I think a good rule of thumb to use: if a city has a skyline in the top 20 list per Emporis, it should be listed as "Top-importance." Other cities with skylines ranked 21-70 should be ranked "High". Generally, all other cities should be "Mid," unless they have several tall and extremely notable skyscrapers and/or a long history of high-rises. I can't think of many scenarios where a tallest buildings list should be ranked "Low," unless the city has relatively few high-rises and/or a tallest building that is 100 metres (330 ft) or less in height. What do you think?
