Your edits to Fergie (singer)

Hello, please see Help:Moving a page for info on renaming a page. Pages should never be moved by cutting and pasting, because it makes the page's edit history much more difficult to keep track of. You can list a page at WP:RM if you want to move a page over an existing article. -- Muchness 16:49, 8 February 2007 (UTC) reply

Technically this isn't an uncontroversial move proposal, since there's a possibility that someone might oppose the move. I've taken the liberty of shifting your proposal to the Other proposals section and I've added a section for discussion on the article's talk page. Fair use rationale for Image:Head2Toe.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Head2Toe.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Bigr Tex 19:41, 13 July 2007 (UTC) reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Head2Toe.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Head2Toe.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Uploading images

Thank you for uploading images/media such as Image:Maleglasses.jpg to Wikipedia! There is however another Wikimedia foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In the future, please consider creating an account and uploading media there instead. That way, all the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view images you have previously uploaded by going to your user contributions on the left and choosing the 'image' namespace from the drop down box). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading!

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:BabytheDogg.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sdrtirs ( talk) 16:46, 4 August 2008 (UTC) reply

Image copyright problem with Image:GoodBadUglyStandOff.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:GoodBadUglyStandOff.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Moving articles

The article can't me moved with the "move button" because the redirect page has a history. Once marriages are enacted you can go to Wikipedia:Requested moves and request a move. Until then you should leave it as it is, the law goes into effect only September 1, 2009, and only CUs are currently available. People who search will be redirected to the current page, so everything's fine. Hekerui ( talk) 16:43, 7 April 2009 (UTC) reply

P.S. Dude, what's up with uploading your glasses lol Okay, they fit and look good, you can move the picture to Commons as explained (or ask me how) so everyone can use it if it's required. You can also try to improve some articles by trying to scout out stuff that's encyclopedic and needs a picture. You can also contribute by finding reliable sources and adding them to articles. Many articles need it. Best wishes :) Hekerui ( talk) 16:56, 7 April 2009 (UTC) reply

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. First of all, the SineBot is correct, please use four tildes so this Bot will stop editing around. As for the box, look at the bottom, it has the links "v", "d", and "e" for "view", "discuss", and "edit". However, try to discuss edits before making them to a box, the box is displayed on a lot of pages (and it seems okay to me, have I missed something?). Hekerui ( talk) 18:50, 7 April 2009 (UTC) reply

Hello Iwasblueonce! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 943 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{ unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Proposed deletion of I Don't Fit In

The article I Don't Fit In has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable, lack of references

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Thanks for uploading Image:Toddlersailor.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image tagging for Image:Zebra5.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Zebra5.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Image copyright problem with Image:BabytheDogg.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Your recent edits

Thank you! -- SineBot ( talk) 18:38, 7 April 2009 (UTC) reply

Boxes

First of all, the SineBot is correct, please use four tildes so this Bot will stop editing around. As for the box, look at the bottom, it has the links "v", "d", and "e" for "view", "discuss", and "edit". However, try to discuss edits before making them to a box, the box is displayed on a lot of pages (and it seems okay to me, have I missed something?). Hekerui ( talk) 18:50, 7 April 2009 (UTC) reply

Yeah, the Wikipedia Code can be complex. I took forever to find out some things, for example using references. If you've got more questions going forward, you can also write me an email, a link is on my userpage. Best wishes Hekerui ( talk) 19:07, 7 April 2009 (UTC) reply

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Iwasblueonce! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 943 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{ unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Augie Nieto - Find sources:  Google ( books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Stevie B - Find sources:  Google ( books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
