If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Irfan abbasi, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Mephistophelian ( talk) 05:05, 27 August 2012 (UTC) reply

The article Irfan abbasi has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{ prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hello, Irfanabbasi. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Irfan_abbasi, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Irfan_abbasi to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you need help doing so, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Biographies of Living Persons prods from an article unless it contains at least one reliable source or was created before 18 March 2010, as you did with Irfan abbasi. The usual method of generating lists is to put an asterisk "*" in front of each item. That puts it on a seperate line. Two asterisks "**" will indent the line further. Putting a pound sign "#" at the beginning of the line will number the list automatically. Cheers Jim1138 ( talk) 06:43, 30 August 2012 (UTC) reply

Your recent edits

Hello, it appears that you've been having troubles with editing recently. Although Wikipedia is a frequently visited website, it is not a social networking or a job profile website. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia for significant and notable information such as science, historic battles, schools, etc. If you have received reasonable news coverage and other reliable sources, you can submit an article using the articles for creation program. However, considering that you recently submitted a copy violation, I strongly suggest visiting Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials to learn how to donate your content. Please note that adding another copy violation will result with your editing privileges being removed. To learn more about editing, I strongly suggest visiting Wikipedia:Introduction and Wikipedia:Tutorial. If you need additional help, please contact me at my talk page. Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Irfan abbasi. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Hi, you can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. I deleted your recent article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. It is now wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references. As a matter of policy, all biographies of living people will be deleted if they do not have references. Your references were "Sindh Review Development Society" and "Sindhi-language media" I cannot see how these allow us to check the accuracy of the article's text or verify notability. You need to refer to something specific and checkable.
  • It was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: famous magzine... He also wrote articles in many newspapers and magzines"
  • You have an obvious conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that he is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.
  • Your Sindh Review article appears to be a close paraphrase of a copyrighted source. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you, unless they state clearly that the text is public domain. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright isn't sufficient. *
  • The Sindh review article can be recreated at any time, but you need to make sure you follow the criteria above. If you want to recreate "Irfan Abbasi", I suggest that you do so in your sandbox and let me know when it's ready, and I'll unprotect the page if it meets the criteria.
