Very interesting that what I have commented on goes much better with facts than your little rant. Do US a little favor and Open up a book yourself. Maybe you are ignorant, but you shouldn't use personal attacks as it's not Wikipedia policy. Pleasure to speak with you. Cali567 ( talk) 01:16, 2 May 2009 (UTC) reply

yes I agree, he doesn't even know how to sign after he posts comments in the discussion section. Then he tries to claim certain things as FACTS or FALSE, without even reading the material he tries to post. ( PinoyFilAmPride ( talk) 04:25, 11 May 2009 (UTC)) reply

Ethnicity of Filipino People

Please stop your edit war with PinoyFilAmPride -- neither of you is providing a reference for the ethnicity of the Filipino people. Please provide a website, book or other verifiable source of information. Banaticus ( talk) 09:49, 8 May 2009 (UTC) You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. The other person didn't even provide reference for anything that user was doing. I have provided a clear reliable source and link to all that information, which is the OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT WEBSITE of the Philippines. Are you saying the Official Government of the Philippines is wrong? If you think so, I would suggest you contacting their website to dispute all the information they provided, which is word for word from what I posted. Stanford does not represent the Philippines, while the GOVERNMENT is apart of the Philippines so I would assume their information is much more reliable.

Again, that's my source. It clearly references the Malay background several times, which I find nothing wrong with because it is indeed a OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT WEBSITE...which even the Wikipedia article uses the CIA as the first reference.

Reply:It don't mean to offend anyone, but i am doing my job to provide correct information in the Philippine article. It is a misleading term to used the word Malay or Indonesian because it is stating the nationality of the Malaysian, and Indonesian people. It is not stating the Filipino nationality, and that is very confusing to the reader. Filipino, Malaysian, and Indonesian are different in terms of culture, and language. However they are part of the same ethnic group known as the Austronesian people, and the Austronesian speaking people found in Southeast Asia, Oceania, and Madagascar. The correct word to used is Austronesian because sholars, and scientist have conducted studies based on this ethnic group. User:IQfur1 11:00, 8 May 2008 (UTC) reply
Your job? So did Wikipedia hire you to continue to edit the Filipino people and replace it with "Austronesian". It's funny how you clearly are offended by the "Malay" and "Indonesian" references, yet you have no dispute with the Chinese and Spanish. I never said that Filipino, Malaysian, and Indonesians are all the same but the facts remain that the Philippines has been influenced by many different groups and many groups have migrated to the Philippines which includes the Malay, Chinese, and Spanish. If you want to dispute that, I suggest you write to those Government Websites. It's clear that you are a amateur, you don't even know how to cite your sources nor do you even know how to sign correctly. The term Austronesian is a very broad term and the main part of the Austronesian section, even in Wikipedia, provides no sources or citations therefore even that section is disputable. As it clearly states without any citations that section can be challenged for removal. Austronesian is as general as stating Mongoloid or Sino-Tibetan, but both Government Websites I provided clearly state the several groups that have migrated to the Philippines. Nothing wrong with that and UNLESS you can provide Proof that Wikipedia hired you to make those edits, I don't see how it's "YOUR JOB" to do so.
