I do not see that a "dolt" violate any policies because this is not a personal attack, it is an insult to your intelligence. You brought illogicial sense yourself. FWIW, here's a third opinion from a complete outsider:
- You are both slow-edit-warring over this.
- The content seems unnotable and unimportant.
- The article looks much better with the text in the article's body. It looks ugly with the text in the footnotes.
- Calling someone a dolt and claiming that it merely is an insult to their intelligence, is severely violating WP:NPA.
- I would remove the entire damage description, and keep the one small referenced sentence, without the details.

Stones River National Battlefield looks better than I expect and is what the article but you do not have a right to insult my skill by your comments which stated "rewrote some poor syntax and grammar mostly to make a point about how footnotes can be used to provide supplementary material not necessary to the body of the article". I wrote footnotes because they require to be proof. I am deaf, not hearing but real smart people do have problem what they write. There is no perfect in world but it does not mean you have to insult. You should say "rewrote some correct synatx and grammar." DVdm is correct about writing footnotes and articles. I apologize for calling you the name but please fix the comment. American Sign Language is deaf people's first language that does not have any English struction. Hellen Keller was raised in hearing world but never attend any deaf residence schools. She did attend a hearing college, not
Gallaudet University so not all deaf people are same. I know you never have an experience with deaf people and their culture but you should not jump to wrong conclusion. I mean you cannot know everything! "My grammar and syntax is non-standard" is an insult again. I do not think you have a respect but you chose to be a robot. Like I say "next time using the sentence grammars are fixed and corrected instead of insults like poor grammars. I have no problem with filing a deaf discrimination lawsuit if you continue this non-humanity against deaf people for their language. Deaf people hate

- I've contributed a couple of snippets to the French Wikipedia, but I'm very careful, and I'm sure I make errors that a native speaker would find absurd. Nevertheless, I don't blame anything for my poor French except my limited knowledge of French. It's an ongoing project of mine to improve my ability with the language. (For instance, today I learned that "Don't drink and drive" is a rhyme in French: "Boire ou conduire, il faut choisir.")
- You've been at Wikipedia longer than I have, so I'm sure you know that

American Disability Act. You have no right to discriminate me based by insult me for calling me "poor" language and made poor decision about deaf people when you brought this person, Hellen Keller as comparing to
Deaf World because it was completely different. "Fixing grammar errors and correct" is respectful comment, "poor grammars" is not respectful. I am familiar with this country, France but I understand the language of their meanings "love", not "hate". If they think your french is poor, all they do is correct you with the help instead of "calling you "poor grammar". Don't forget that France is responsbility for bringing deaf education and part of American Sign Language into America. I just say using friendly, nice, and helpful comments. My real professors never use "poor" or "bad" in my works when I was in Gallaudet University. Some of Wikipedians did use term "corrected and fixed grammars", not "Poor and bad grammars". - I think it's best to use an infobox - and the most appropriate seems maybe Template:Infobox settlement - so I've added one of those, which incorporates geo coords; see this edit.
- If you don't want all that stuff though, feel free to remove it, and just use
