The section from Doukissis Plakentias to the Airport were served by electric trains from the9 start, by metro line 3. The intermediate stops started being served in 2006 by the metro, and before the suburban railway only ran diesel trains on today's line A1. The stations to Neratziotissa were electrified by 2007, and there were electric suburban railway trains from then on. The remaining part of tzzoday's line A2 was electrified in 2009, and because of that today's A1 was discontinued. In 2010 the section of today's A4 from Ano Liosia to Kiato was electrified, and that section was transferred from today's A4 to today's A2. In 2012, the section of A4 south of Athens was transferred to line A3.In 2013 the northern part of A3 was electrified, and by 2017 the whole A3 was electrified, and the former A4 section was transferred back to A4, and the A1 was reintroduced. Line A3 was split, and the part south of Athens remained the last line of the network not to be electrified. In 2018, this part became once again part of lines A1 and A4, and the 2007 lines had returned, with the addition of A2, but it was entirely electrified. Patras Suburban Railway

I wonder if you can help me collect reliable sources for a standalone article about the Patras Suburban Railway? I am actually not doing well and the history of the commuter rail service in Proastiakos is a total mess of unsourced statements, especially since line numbers (P1/P2) only came into use from August 2023. -- Minoa ( talk) 08:50, 3 October 2023 (UTC) reply
