Hi. Just wanted to let you know that I had to decline the WP:CSD#A7 on this article, as films cannot be speedily deleted for notability concerns, I have written to ask User:Corvus cornix if he minds my bundling it into Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tajudeen bioku. If he does, or if that AfD picks up momentum before I'm able, I will very likely be nominating it independently. -- Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:23, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi. :) Just wanted to further clarify WP:CSD#A7. I came upon Mengil Manhide's Manflayers, an article you tagged, this evening. I did delete the article, but only because it was a copyright violation of this url. A7 can be used to speedily delete articles about real people (individually or grouped, as in companies or bands) or web content if the articles do not assert importance. It can't be used on the products, such as films, albums or books. This particular article was not an A7 candidate as it refers to a fictional group of people. Ordinarily, these might be addressed through WP:PROD or WP:AfD, unless they meet one of the other criteria. In this case, the sudden introduction of a large chunk of text suggested to me a phrase check on google might be worthwhile. This is quite often an indicator that the material has been copied and pasted from another source. Thanks. -- Moonriddengirl (talk) 01:45, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Hey I need some help and I'm not quite sure where to look for it. Since you seem to have quite a bit of information on the episodes, I was hoping you would know. As I'm reformatting the episode list for LOTSW, I'm trying to include production numbers for the episodes, mainly using TV.com as a source. However, they don't have production numbers listed for series 11 onwards, the pilot, or any FOTSW episodes. I was hoping maybe you would know where I could go to find this information to make the lists complete. Cheers! Redfarmer ( talk) 17:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

I removed the speedy tag from Mordechai Suchard. Although it is a short article, it is possibly expandable. If not, it at the very least asserted that it was notable, which is all it has to do to not be speedy deleted. It needs sourcing and expansion of course, and I wouldn't have a problem with adding it to AFD to get a community based consensus. Let me know if you need help setting up an AFD, or see this link. Isn't the point of Wikipedia meant to be putting information on the pages rather than taking it off. Looking back over the pages I can see that Christopher Hughes' page has been vandalised occasionally and there is some of unsourced information on it but I know that the vast majority of what was written is true (including some of the more far fetched entries!) having both worked for the BBC and religiously watched Eggheads and his appearances on Mastermind and The Weakest Link.
It seems ludicrous that one over officious, censorious individual R Ferreira can just decide to make Hughes' page virtually empty and useless to fans trying to find a bit more about the man by claiming that he knows better than everyone else. Not only has he ruled out all unsourced information but deigned to judge that a Mastermind fanpage (which IS accurate to the best of my knowledge) is not allowed to be sourced on his say so. Do I have to link to ten youtube clips of Hughes losing at sport on Eggheads to be allowed to say that it is one of his weaker topics or find 15 clips of him giving more information than is necessary to prove that he does this? It seems rather unnecessary when anyone who watches the show (probably unlike RFerreira) knows this to be the case and could challenge it if they felt it wasn't accurate!
Hughes is a minor television personality at best so there is little chance of him showing up on major websites! What is the point of including minor celebrities at all on wikipedia if absolutely everything not only has to be sourced but sourced from websites approved by RFerreira? Isn't the whole point of having user editing, that users take down entries they know to be inaccurate and sourcing things whilst being important is only crucial in a dispute?
Can you get assist in the Christopher Hughes page back to it's former glories? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.9.23.123 ( talk) 17:38, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
