Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot ( talk) 14:33, 15 March 2024 (UTC) reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{ unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I fixed your request; you posted it with "nowiki" tags that prevented display. The list article you posted to is not a list of all gay bookstores that exist; only those that merit Wikipedia articles or at least have the prospect of one. You have the additional complication of being the business you are posting about, which is a severe confict of interest. If you own or work for the bookstore, you must declare as a paid editor. You have not proposed a new username as instructed. 331dot ( talk) 15:01, 15 March 2024 (UTC) reply

I understand that the name must have been confusing, my apologies. I recently visited the store and was trying to update the page to reflect its existence and add others I had been to, two of the stores currently listed are not physical stores as described at the top of the page, so not sure why Gay on Wye wouldn't merit being included??

No response too 331dot's comment from a month ago. It's not clear that you understand how list articles work, and why we don't include every single extant example of a type of thing. ♠ PMC(talk) 18:04, 23 April 2024 (UTC) reply

  • As I said above, list articles are not for merely documenting existence. Typically a list article should not be added to until the topic being added has a Wikipedia article. It doesn't matter if the store is physical or virtual. To merit an article, the store must receive significant coverage in independent reliable sources that shows how the business meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable business. 331dot ( talk) 17:37, 15 March 2024 (UTC) reply
