- Great. It seems that many just gave up on correct usage of "Maya" vs "Mayan" around the time of the pop-culture 2012 "apocalypse" hype, but as an encyclopedia we should aspire to use terms accurately. If you hadn't noticed, Wikipedia has a sister project, Wikivoyage, for information that is more visitor/tourism related - the one for Valladolid is linked at the bottom of the article. (Alas I haven't been back to Yucatán since the last century myself.) Cheers, --

- I'm in New Orleans Louisiana USA. LOL, if you don't care for heat and humidity, I would not recommend it - not quite as hot and humid as Mérida, but not by a lot. (Looks to see if you're on Commons...) I see you've uploaded one photo to Commons. More photos of Mérida are very welcome (we have a fair number but can certainly use more) if you care to take and upload some more.
